Another week is upon us! I’m housesitting and watching some furry friends this week, which has been a bit of an adventure. I’m learning so much about dogs (I’ve never had one) and trying to get the cat to warm up to me.
Over the weekend, I did some work but also binged “The Prince” on HBO Max — which is absolutely hilarious — and I also watched “F Boy Island,” which actually has a lot more substance than what I expected.
But today I’m sharing a product I didn’t think I needed: the Megababe Space Bar Detoxifying Charcoal Underarm soap!
I have known about Megababe as a brand for awhile — I know they have a cult following — and have been following its founder Kate Sturino for years on Instagram. She’s become a powerful voice in the body positivity movement, and Megababe has the products to back it up (think: anti-chaffing thigh balm, body powder to stop underboob sweat, etc.).
So, I was excited when I got the Space Bar in a Birchbox! This stuff preps your arms for deodorant with activated charcoal and tea tree. It absorbs and washes away odor-causing impurities in just 60 seconds.
The palm-free treatment bar keeps skin soft with hydrating avocado, sunflower and olive oils. Glycolic acid lightly exfoliates for smoother, brighter pits.
Ever since I’ve been working from home, I admittedly don’t use deodorant routinely like I did when I was going to an office. And well, sometimes it gets a little stinky… I have always just used regular soap under my arms, but honestly didn’t pay much attention to see if it was really getting things clean (swear I’m not gross).
So, I was really excited to try this out. I keep the bar in my bath/shower and lather it up, rub it under my arms, and let it sit for 1 minute. Then I rinse, and bathe per usual. I do notice that there’s 0 odor (I’ve been using this for a few weeks now) and my armpits feel soft!
The Space Bar came in my usual monthly Birchbox, but I also ordered a clean deodorant sampler that has a Megababe deodorant called Rosy Pits, which I’m looking forward to trying, and it came with another Space Bar, so I’m stocked!
I’d definitely recommend this bar if you feel like your pits aren’t getting as clean as they could be, especially in these summer months. Also if you’re switching from a standard deodorant to a clean product, I’ve always heard you’ve got to detox your underarms!
I didn’t plan this, but if you’re a Diamond or Platinum member at Ulta, all of Megababe’s underarm products are 30% off today (8/2/21).
Have you ever tried anything from Megababe?
