I got to see Trevor Noah during his ‘Loud and Clear’ tour!

Last night, I ventured to Bass Concert Hall to see Trevor Noah on his Loud and Clear Tour! I bought this ticket so long ago, so I was really excited for the show, especially after I got to see Trevor Noah for a taping of “The Daily Show” in New York City, in July.

The first opening act was Vince August, who actually is the same comedian that opens when you go see an episode of “The Daily Show” and he’s absolutely hilarious. From Hackensack, Jersey, his act before “The Daily Show” was purely off-the-cuff and his act last night was more about his childhood… so funny.

But, I didn’t realize it until I googled him to write this post, that he was a former judge and it was ruled that he could not do comedy AND be a judge… guess he chose comedy.

There was a second opening act, who… I cannot remember his name and searched online for it for a solid hour. I thought his name was Joe, possibly from Chicago, but… I cannot find anything, and it’s going to be a mission to eventually find it because he was also very funny.

I’ll admit that after I saw Claudia Oshry, I was worried that I’m just getting old and grumpy, because I get so annoyed with other people in live audiences. But that was NOT my experience last night, thankfully.

Trevor’s set was about 80 minutes and he covered random life stories and anecdotes before jumping into politics. The show came right after Beto announced he was stepping out of the presidential race, so I wondered if he would say anything about that, but he didn’t.

He did touch a lot on the #MeToo movement, women’s rights and abortion, which surprised me.

Overall, it was a good night of laughs. I think I laugh more at his humor on “The Daily Show”, but it’s always cool to see a stand up show 🙂 He’s in Austin all weekend, so it looks like lots of people will get to see the show.

The weather is really nice, so I’m hoping to get on the patio for a bit… Blanche is hoping so, too. I hope you’re having a great weekend!
