A Review: Crème Shop Klean Beauty Essence Sheet Masks.

I’ve been paying attention to my skincare routine since reading “Get the F*ck Out of The Sun” by Lauren Bosstick (my full review is here).

Prior to reading the book, I thought of face masks as something done once per week or as part of an at-home facial. And while that thought isn’t bad, many of those quoted in the book used facemasks multiple times per week, sometimes even nightly!

When I thought more about it, a face mask is really just another form of skincare, and many single-use sheet masks are a way to get vitamins and moisturizer all in one place.

So, when I saw the line of Klean Beauty Essence Sheet Masks from The Crème Shop, I was excited for several reasons.

For one, they have clean ingredients, they’re vegan and cruelty-free, the sheet masks themselves are made of 100% organic cotton, and the wrapper and the mask are biodegradable. What? And I didn’t even mention that they’re $4!

I’m not kidding when I say I bought one of every kind they had — I wanted to try them all. I got:

Blemish Solution Turmeric. Infused with clarifying Turmeric, youth-promoting Vegan Collagen, and blemish-fighting Tea Tree. I don’t get breakouts often, but I have a stash of acne-fighting masks to use when they do happen.

Brightening Vitamin C. Infused with brightening Vitamin C, youth-promoting Vegan Collagen, and smoothing Amino Acids. I’m learning more about Vitamin C and how good it is, especially when it’s a regular part of a skincare regimen.

Calming Repair Cica-Mend. Infused with healing Cica, softening Allantoin, and intensely hydrating Hyaluronic Acid for calm, soft skin. Hyaluronic Acid does wonders for my skin, and I could always use the extra hydration.

Pro-Youth Vegan Collagen. Infused with youth-promoting Vegan Collagen for plump, radiant skin. I’m thrilled there are affordable, vegan alternatives for collagen.

Soothing Moisture Aloe Vera x3. Infused with soothing Aloe Vera, moisturizing Glycerin, and youth-promoting Chinese Skullcap. This sounds like a good choice post-sun-exposure.

Ultra-Smoothing Vegan Retinol. Infused with youth-promoting Vegan Retinol, moisturizing Squalane, and hydrating Ceramides. Retinol is also another skincare ingredient I’m learning about!

Full disclosure, I haven’t used all of these yet! I used the Smoothing Moisture Aloe Vera x3 mask first and was blown away by how amazing it smelled (I felt like I was in a spa)!

The mask was soothing and didn’t feel cheap in any way. I was excited to use another one, and I went for the Collagen one next. I’ve also used the Vitamin C one — I’ve been impressed with them all so far!

These were some of my first purchases from The Creme Shop, so I didn’t realize they are dedicated to striving for sustainable and environmentally-friendly products, but the brand is minority-owned, female-owned, and AAPI-owned. Amazing!

I’ll definitely be buying these again. What products from The Crème Shop have you tried?

I adore the Creme Shop! I always travel with a few of their face masks in my carry on. They are soooo easy to use after a long day of travel and they’re TSA friendly (at least in my experience)! I also really love their popsicle lip stains. Thanks for sharing- you reminded me I had them in my bag haha.
