Well, we are just rolling right through January! I know things are still crazy in the world right now, but I’m getting by, by just focusing on what’s happening in my world for now.
Of course, there’s client work and personal projects, but I’m focusing on getting in a daily workout, meditating, and doing things I enjoy. Lately, I’ve been taking a lot of tub soaks to ease my sore muscles!
During the holidays, I bought myself a sampler kit of Kylie Skin. It had a little bit of everything, including the face wash, scrub, toner, moisturizer, and the hydrating mask. I’ll likely be writing separately about each of these things, but I wanted to highlight the mask first.
The Hydrating Mask is made to be used however you want. You can put it on for 15 minutes and rinse, or leave it on overnight for a real quencher.
The texture of the mask is very thick, which I like. It’s a smooth, heavy cream. Obviously, you can decide how thick of a layer you want to put on. It’s vegan, paraben-free, sulfate-free… and I don’t recall it having much of a scent.
I’ll start by saying that I love masks like this. It is my personal philosophy that when masks (or other skincare products) don’t have strict directions, it means you’re working with some good ingredients. Over the last year or so, I’ve probably purchased moisturizing masks the most because I’m more aware that my skin is probably dry, even when I don’t see it — I’m really bad about drinking water y’all.
Anyway, I feel this makes me qualified to evaluate the Kylie Skin mask — not that anyone is asking for my credentials.
But I really enjoyed this mask. The only thing keeping me from saying I LOVE it is that it gets on your pillowcase if you sleep in it. If you’ve ever used any of YesTo’s sleeping masks, those somehow NEVER get on your pillowcase and it’s just another thing you don’t have to worry about.
I mostly used the Kylie Skin mask during the day. I don’t ever have many video calls, so I have the luxury of being able to do that. Regardless of when you wear it though… it left my skin feeling very smooth and nourished.
Again, I’ll post thoughts on some of the other Kylie Skin products soon (I haven’t used all of them yet), but I’ll be purchasing the mask in its full size. I tried all of these products not expecting much. I think it’s important to remember that this isn’t a skincare line made for anti aging or fight acne… but this mask would be good for regular upkeep.
Have you tried any products from Kylie Skin? Or what about any other celebrity skincare lines?
