Fresh Friday: Infusion d’Iris.

The bottle really isn't that big...
The bottle really isn’t that big…

Oh yeah, I’m starting a NEW series on the bloggy, called “Fresh Friday” (#FF), where I will feature a perfume. Over the years, I’ve collected several scents, some of them are full bottles, and some of them are just samples, but as of this moment, there are 40 different perfumes in my bathroom closet (no joke!).

Actual bottle.
Actual bottle.

So, for awhile, I considered writing a strictly perfume blog, but I figure, why not squeeze in a few scents around these here Bitter Lemon parts? So, here goes — and for the first entry, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite scents, Infusion d’Iris by PRADA.

According to (the description at) Sephora, “Tradition and innovation fuse into a dreamlike ideal in Prada’s Infusion D’Iris, the new fragrance for the modern woman. Prada’s exceptional quality ingredients evoke the classic ambiance of a luxurious Italian voyage, from the clean freshness of Florentine Iris Padilla to the warm, subtle glow of Sicilian Mandarin. Savor the floral citrus reverie of this scent’s unique, elusive essence.”

Oddly enough, other websites described this fragrance as “woodsy.” That’s not the smell that first comes to mind when I’ve put it on, but I’ll admit that I do have a love for anything “woodsy” (including the men, heh heh). So, don’t blame me on this one. Other words used to describe Infusion d’Iris:

  • Mandarin
  • Orange blossom
  • Galbanum
  • Iris
  • Cedar
  • Vetiver
  • Incense
  • Benzoin

I first smelled this as a sample, and I fell in love with it immediately. I will say, that I love floral scents, and it should come as no shock that this one is floral. However, I would describe it in general as light, and clean. It’s a fresh scent, but I cannot promise that it lasts all day.

Other cool ways to purchase Infusion d’Iris: Set (perfume, travel perfume, & lotion), Bath salts (!), Body lotion, Set (perfume, lotion, & cosmetic bag), Set (perfume, lotion, & body wash)
