A Review: Rothy’s The Flat.

I now have three pairs of Rothy’s: The Driver (full review here), The Point (full review here), and I recently got The Flat.

I wear all of my Rothy’s to work my part-time retail job, and I’ve been amazed at how comfortable they are — even for an 8-hour shift on my feet — and they still look so great.

They are stylish, fun, and flattering.

When I went to the Rothy’s website to buy a new pair of shoes, I wasn’t entirely sure which pair to get.

I originally wanted “The Flat” in solid black to replace a pair of suede flats I had from J Crew that had simply lived their life.

But I started looking at all the colorful choices they had and tried to imagine what I’d wear with different options.

I realized that I should just get something bright and fun! I have a tendency to pick “safe” clothing choices, which isn’t a bad thing, but I also think fashion should be fun.

I saw the “Dragonfruit” — a bright, nearly-Barbie-style pink color, and selected those. I have to wear black, white, and gray at work (aside from our shoes), and these would be such a nice pop of color.

I also took a bit of a risk and ordered them 1/2 a size larger than my usual because so many of the reviews said to do so.

I do not regret my choice one bit!

These are so comfortable, and not only do I wear them more than I expected I would already, but I get so many compliments on them.

One thing I really like about this style is that it’s got an interesting cut around the toe. It’s a rounded tow on the end, but it comes to a point in the shoe’s opening, which I find so flattering.

I’ve said this before, but just a reminder for those considering buying Rothy’s: As an adult, I’ve always had leg and back issues, and finding shoes that prevent that pain has always been challenging. I’m shocked at how much I love these shoes!

I know these won’t be my last pair of Rothy’s.

I’m considering going for a lace-up sneaker style, or maybe another pair of The Point.

Overall review: I think Rothy’s is a great brand with classic styles. The price point is a little shocking at first, but given the quality and comfort of the shoes, it’s definitely worth it!
