That’s right, I’m heading to Nashville, Tennessee, tomorrow for a long weekend.

Nashville has been on my mind for the last few years for many reasons: I grew up visiting my grandparents in various parts of the state, and Nashville has always held a special place in my heart. Also, it’s music city!

I have even toyed with the idea of moving there, but the stars haven’t been aligned quite yet.

In all seriousness, this probably isn’t the ideal time for me to take a trip. My schedule is hectic, my money isn’t quite right, and my mental state is a roller coaster.

But in the last. few years, I’ve always made an effort to do something for myself for the holiday — something to get me in the spirit.

And I didn’t want to keep myself from that tradition just because life isn’t perfect; after all, when is it ever perfect?!

So, I decided to take a quick trip to Nashville, see a few concerts, and just make it a Holly Jolly Holiday trip!

I packed light as I’m on a mission to make this trip as easy and fun as possible:

What I Packed

  • Concert clothes: I’m seeing holiday concerts, so I wanted to be comfy but look dressy! I packed some faux leather pants, light sweaters, and jeans.
  • Comfy shoes: My Golden Goose sneakers are a staple for traveling (read my review) — I always wear them at the airport! I also packed my newest pair of Rothy’s (The Point). Read my Rothy’s review & get $20 off your purchase!
  • Festive accessories: I packed jewelry (I love pieces from Uncommon James & Maggie Villamaria) to dress up my outfits, and I also packed headbands, which I’ve been wearing a lot. My favorite is “The Puff” from Calling Gala.
  • Red lipliner + lipstick: ‘Tis the season for a fabulous red lip! I’ve tried several different combos and have settled on this as my go-to pair: Kylie Cosmetics lipliner in Mary Jo K (line and fill) and topped with Mac Lip Creme in Lady Bug.
  • Holiday books: I decided to leave my iPad, laptop, Nook, etc., all at home for this trip! I packed two books, each with a holiday theme: “A Merry Little Meet Cute” by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone, and “The Matzah Ball” by Jean Meltzer.
  • Travel essentials: No matter where I go, I always bring facial skincare masks to give my skin some extra love while traveling, slippers to wear in the hotel, and CBD drops to relieve ailments and anxiety. Soul CBD is my go-to brand (read my review + get $$ off your order).

And that’s that! I’m all packed up and ready to head to Nashville — I’ll report back on my trip next week!
