I have been trying to take extra good care of my skin lately, because I had some very pesky blemishes in the way of good-looking skin.
I got things cleared up for a good bit, I think because of the products I was using, and I was very conscious of using clean tools (washcloth, facial rounds, makeup sponges, etc.).
But lately, I’ve seen some of the blemishes pop back up and I think it’s partially because I’ve been getting back into the routine of wearing makeup.
Part of me enjoyed skipping daily makeup during the pandemic lockdown, but I ultimately enjoy wearing it and trying new products.
Even though I work from home, I do feel more confident when I join a Zoom meeting wearing makeup — even just a little bit.
So, I dug through my stash and tried to find makeup that wasn’t going to wreck my skin and one of the first things I found was the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Makeup Primer+ Oil-Free.
I think the best way to take care of your skin while wearing makeup is to start with a solid base (including a great moisturizer).
This primer has a light peach color to it and has a water-based gel texture. It’s very light but I felt like it formed a great base for makeup.
I used it under CC cream, foundation, and concealer (all separately) and never noticed any creasing or breaking up.
It didn’t feel heavy or itchy on my skin, and I’m definitely adding this to my list of items to repurchase.
Admittedly, I haven’t used many products from IT Cosmetics, and I now know that’s a shame because everyone I’ve tried has been so good!
IT Cosmetics also has an entire line of the “Your Skin But Better” products including CC Creams, Foundation, Powder, and Setting Spray. Take my money!
Have you tried anything from IT Cosmetics?
