Are we ready for fall or hanging on to summer? I feel really mixed. I bought a bunch of fall candles over the weekend, but I’m still here for some quality time by the pool. Who’s with me??
I’m still going to be sharing summer-ish products until it’s officially fall (September 21, I believe), which brings me to the Sun Bum Revitalizing 3-in-1 Treatment.
I’ve been coloring my hair for literally 20 years (!), and I am always looking for products that will keep my color from fading and nourish my hair.
Over the years, I’ve noticed that there’s loads of products out there for protecting hair from styling tools (like curling irons and straighteners), but there’s not as many products out there for protecting hair from UV rays.
I have been buying lots of Sun Bum products lately, so I was really pumped when I saw they had a product that was made to condition and protect my hair.
The Revitalizing 3-in-1 Treatment is meant to detangle, condition, and protect hair while enhancing and restoring its natural body. It helps controls frizz, prevent split ends, slow color fading and will leave your hair silky-smooth and shiny.
This has great reviews on the Ulta website (which is where I purchased it). The only thing I was worried about was that it’s meant to be used after you wash your hair… and I only wash my hair once per week (again, to protect my color).
But, this is not a heavy, oily product. It’s light, and even though I have applied it to wet hair, it’s fine to apply before heading to the pool on dry hair. I have thick hair that’s more on the dry side, and I did see reviews that weren’t favorable for putting this product on fine hair — just an FYI.
So, I am sold! Of course, it’s difficult for me to measure how slow my color is fading — sometimes it looks fresh one day and then BAM, I need a touch up. But, so far, it seems like it’s working just fine.
As I was writing this blog post, I also noticed that Sun Bum sells Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner, which also helps protect hair from UV rays… *adds to cart*!
What kind of products do you use to protect your hair from the sun?
