A Review: Lancome Lait Galatee Confort.

I’m not sure HOW I made it to the weekend, but I did, and I’m so glad it’s here. This was my busiest week of work since before the holidays and while I was so happy to be getting back to the grind, obviously life tossed a snowstorm and no running water to so many of us in Texas.

Working while just trying to survive is exhausting and when I was finished with work yesterday (at 9pm), it felt so nice to get into bed and sleep. The good news is, as of last night, the water is back on in my building! The water pressure is low because of so many breaks around the city, but we’re being told that should clear up in a few days.

The city is also under a boil notice and we are being told to continue to conserve energy and water. I know many people got their power back yesterday, which is great, and since it’s supposed to warm up today, the Mayor said the roads will be clear for water and food delivery — hooray!

I have been keeping the curtains closed all week to help trap heat, but since it’s finally not as cold this morning, I’ve opened the curtains and wow, it does wonders for the soul. My kitty Blanche is happy, too, watching the birds 🙂

So, let’s get into this product! At the end of last year, I realized I’ve never really used any Lancome products and Ulta was doing a 5X points day on the entire brand so I bought some mascara and a few skincare items, including this Lait Galatee Confort. This is cleansing milk — basically a makeup remover — I got some face scrub and toner, too, but I haven’t tried it yet!

I am not wearing much makeup lately, which is why it took me a while to use this product several times to review it. But, this stuff is SO nice! It’s similar to a cold cream in texture, but it’s thinner. So, you can actually squeeze it out of the bottle (which is nice if you don’t like sticking your hands into a jar of cold cream), but it does a great job of melting off makeup and making the skin feel really hydrated.

It says it has almond milk and honey to help with dry skin. I didn’t even realize that when I bought it — I don’t have dry skin — but it is really moisturizing and would be a good option for wintertime, no matter if you have dry skin or not. On the bottle, it says to apply with a cotton pad, but I just used my hands.

I definitely think this product is worth the price. You don’t have to use much, and I just love the way my skin feels after using it. I’d definitely recommend it!

What Lancome products have you used? Any you swear by?

My plans for the weekend — relax and read. I might put my plants back on the patio if the snow melts (it’s supposed to get up to 50 today!) and let Blanche outside. Gonna try and get life back to normal as much as I can after a rough week!
