A Review: Tony Moly Skincare.

Happy Labor Day weekend! I know I have already seen SO many great sales in stores and in my email inbox, and I am a sucker for a great deal.

I definitely treated myself to a kimono from American Eagle that I’ve been eyeing for a month (normally $50, got it for $20) and I’ve already used a 20% off coupon at Michael’s for some supplies for my Etsy shop!

Today I wanted to talk about a brand I’ve come to trust as I dabble (very much dabble) into Korean beauty products, and it’s Tony Moly. I will admit that every item I’ve tried of theirs I’ve found on the clearance shelf at Ulta, but that’s where I do most of my experimenting!

So, here are the Tony Moly products I’ve tried and some I have on my list to try:

Tony Moly Megatox Sheet Mask | Bright Shot

It must be said that Tony Moly’s packaging is always so cool and I know we aren’t supposed to judge by appearance, but it certainly helps it stand off the shelf. Here’s a little more info on the Megatox mask:

Give your skin a shot of hydration with our Megatox Ampoule Mask! Just one shot will help to boost skin to the next level with our microcell sheet soaked in highly concentrated dermatologist-grade ampoule.

Bright shot: Brightens the skin and combats dark spots with Glutathione, an antioxidant thats rids the skin of free radicals and toxins that can lead to hyperpigmentation.

They also have a Lift Shot and a Mist Shot, for lifting and hydrating, respectively. When I bought this, I wasn’t even looking at what it was so, I was surprised that indeed it was a sheet mask folded up into the “shot” packaging, which made it easy to apply.

I am always looking for brightening masks and this one did not disappoint!

Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lovely Lip Patch | Honey

This was the first lip mask or “lip patch” I ever tried so it was an all-around new experience. Having tried several lip masks since then, I can easily say Tony Moly is the best one. Its thicker and it stays in-place much better than cheaper dupes. I tried the honey, but they also have berry and mint flavors.

Here are the details:

Not only is the Kiss Kiss Lovely Lip Patch a great selfie prop, but it does wonders for your lips! After mere minutes of leaving this mask on your lips, they are left soft and hydrated thanks to the pairing of nourishing and hydrating ingredients.

This mask is filled with a medley of hydrating and nourishing ingredients such as Vitamin C, Strawberry, Blueberry and Blackberry Extract. The serum-packed hydrogel moisturizes and plumps your lips, leaving them super soft and smooth.

Key Ingredients:

Collagen – Supports skin structure and elasticity.

Witch Hazel Extract – Improves corneum barrier function and prevents water evaporation, providing a moisturizing effect.

Tony Moly Latte Art Cappucino Cream in Scrub

I mean… again with the packaging! Not only does this scrub look like coffee, but the smell! It smells just like coffee. It is a face scrub, but it’s gentle enough to use often. I keep it on the ledge of my tub and use it whenever I take a bath.

It’s got a thick, gel consistency, but it is creamy when you apply it and it even warms a little while you’re working up a lather. It’s fantastic! Here are the details:

Massage your way to milky smooth skin with our creamy cappuccino scrub. Formulated with coffee and cocoa extracts, our color-changing cream works to remove dry, flaky skin while also providing the skin with beneficial nutrients. The scrub’s warming sensation activates skin impurities deep within the pores to come to the surface as you gently massage the product into the skin.

Tony Moly I’m Layering Mask | Lemon, Green Tea, Peach

I bought a set that had all three of these layering masks — lemon, green tea, and peach — I had never seen anything like this. You get a full-face mask and then you get two patches to put wherever you want. You can add them under the eyes, or other various trouble spots. Or, you could use them at a separate time. It’s a really cool concept! Here’s the scoop:

Double the masks for double the results with our two step I’m Layering Sheet Masks! Formulated with 90% natural ingredients, our adorable fruit-shaped I’m Layering masks allow you to customize your mask by applying adorable slice patches to the areas of your face that need extra care and attention and sealing it all in with a sheet mask for all-over hydration. The air seal fabric of the sheet mask allows for the mask and the patches to better adhere and absorb into the skin for even better results!

Green Tea – Provides dry, sensitive skin with soothing hydration.

Peach – Fights signs of aging and promotes skin-elasticity.

Lemon – Brightens dull, lifeless skin for a more radiant complexion.

Tony Moly Banana Peeling Cream

The lip patch was my first Tony Moly product and this was my second. I’d never heard of a peeling cream, but it sounded harmless, and more like an exfoliator. With this, you spread some on clean, dry skin and let it sit for three minutes. Then, gently massage with fingers and rinse with warm water.

It leaves the skin feeling soft and this stuff smells like millions of bananas! I use it at least once a week and it’s one of my all-time favorite products.

…But honestly, I’ll be following this brand forever!
