Introducing: Creative Sessions!

Hey there! Monday is here again, and I just realized a few days ago that the second quarter of the years is almost GONE and I truly feel like it flew by.

I set a goal for my business that I was going to do less client work and more work related to my blog and… I don’t really know if I accomplished that. But, today is a new day and I’m excited to share something I’ve been working on for a little bit: Creative Sessions!

Here’s the scoop on Creative Sessions:

Creative Sessions are 1:1 brainstorming opportunities for potential clients and/or anyone seeking guided idea creation.

Whether you need help coming up with ideas for a package of blog posts, a business plan, a targeted keyword list, or social media strategy, a Creative Session is a great way to set the stage without additional obligation.

Each session is 45-minutes, covers the topic and issues of your choice, and ends with a list of action items for you to succeed.

So, basically you can book a 45-minute phone call with me and we can talk about whatever you like. Of course, ideally it would be business-related or about blogs or digital marketing, but there are no contracts, no strings attached.

If you’re new around here, or don’t know much about my professional background, I graduated from Louisiana State University in 2007 with a degree in English/Creative Writing.

Since then, I’ve worked for all sorts of different brands around the globe, improving their online presence via web writing, SEO, and digital marketing. I have also always kept a blog and currently teach Blogging for Beginners and Intermediate Blogging at the University of Texas at Austin.

At the end of 2018, I decided to leap out on my own and I’ve been working full-time with contract clients and building up my own service offerings right here at The Bitter Lemon!

Honestly, I got the idea for Creative Sessions from another fellow female entrepreneur, and I don’t even know if this is a service people are looking for, but I’m HERE for it!

The 45-minute call is just $35, so it’s a tiny investment to really hash out whatever ideas you’ve been considering. Here’s a few ways you might consider using a creative session:

  • Discuss ideas you have for possibly starting a blog
  • Brainstorm blog post ideas and/or create a blog content calendar
  • Brainstorm blog names
  • Learn about writing and self-publishing an e-book to sell or offer as a free download
  • Get tips for social media
  • Learn about photo editing apps to improve your presence on Instagram
  • Get a rundown on how SEO works
  • Get tips on how to optimize your blog for search engines
  • Talk about how to get started with a blog
  • Learn about stock photos and design apps for blog and social media graphics

…The possibilities are endless! My goal is that when the conversation is over, you have a clear direction (likely a set of action items) for your idea. Whether we work together again is all up to you — there’s absolutely no pressure.

I honestly just want to spend more time helping others use their creativity and build their ideas into something they’re proud of!

You can schedule your call with me today by clicking on the graphic below. Once you submit payment, you’ll be automatically taken to my calendar where you can choose a time that best fits your schedule.

If you have questions about what we could talk about, feel free to leave it in the comments or send me an email:

I hope you all have a great Monday and thank you all for continuing to read my blog and support me in my entrepreneurial endeavors!

If you’d like to see more writing from me, I curate and edit an email newsletter focused on local news and entertainment in Austin, Texas, called Inside Austin. It comes out every Tuesday and Thursday, but once I hit 3,000 subscribers, it gets a third day of publishing. Sign up to get Tuesday’s newsletter and/or read past issues!
