It’s been months by now, but at some point, I placed an order at Sally’s Beauty Supply. I am such an Ulta stan; I realized I hadn’t shopped at Sally’s in at least a decade, and they have such a great selection of products!
I was mostly looking for hair care items; admittedly I thought I should bleach my hair at home. I’d already purchased the bleach, but I needed coloring bowls, brushes, combs, toner… I got all kinds of stuff.
Well, I still haven’t bleached my hair. Don’t get me wrong, the desire is still there, but I started to freak myself out about the logistics of it (would I be able to actually reach all of my hair? How long would it take me to get it done?)
So everything I purchased for my hair color is in a bag hanging in my coat closet. But I’d purchased several packets of the ION Lavender Relaxing Overnight Hydrating Hair Mask.
I am a sucker for a good hair mask, and I figured if I was going to color my own hair, I needed to do everything I could to take care of it. I also think I was probably $1 shy of getting free shipping, so I tossed a few extra packets into my cart.
Regardless of the bleach or the shipping, I started using the packets last month… and this hair mask is truly unique!
I hadn’t heard of the brand ION before my online Sally’s trip, and they have a vast selection of hair care products, even just in their “Inspired by Nature” line.
This lavender mask has Lavender Oil (known to calm the mind & encourage relaxation), is paraben free, is cruelty free, and is vegan.
But what I love most about this mask is how easy it is to use. You put it on damp hair, and… that’s it. Honestly, up until using it, I thought I would have to rinse my hair, which made me feel like I needed an entire night to use it, but nope!
And when the mask and my hair dried, it was not greasy or oily; my hair felt soft and strong, not to mention how great it smells.
One packet was enough for two uses (I have hair that just hits my shoulders), so the 4-5 packets I bought will last a while.
I’m so glad I got this, especially as things start to cool down in Buffalo; I foresee many nights at home doing self-care this fall and winter.
