It’s been a while since I’ve purchased and used a new body wash! I’ve been working through a stash for the last year or so (I tend to get bars of soap in my Christmas stocking), and I haven’t even been looking at what’s out there.
But I kept seeing commercials for various serum-based body washes (Saltair, Dove Naturium, to name a few), and I wanted to try one.
I saw the line of Olay body washes during a trip to Walgreen’s, and decided on the Elasticity Boosting Body Wash with Collagen Peptide Serum Complex (I had to have the security guard get it for me).
I’ve been using it for a month now, and I really like it! Since moving to a drier climate, I’ve really been conscious of making sure my skin stays hydrated, and a body wash is a good base for it.
While using this, I notice my skin never feels stripped, which I really like. It also doesn’t really have a scent (I think all Olay products smell the same, right?) and I don’t mind that.
The texture of the product is creamy, which feels very luxurious and I appreciate that it’s in a bottle with a pump! I use it with my african mesh or sometimes just on its own; regardless it feels like a treat to myself every time.
This body wash has ingredients to hydrate and nourish the skin, including niacinamide, pro-glycerin, lipids, and vitamin B3.
The formula supports natural ceramides that strengthen your skin’s protective layer and maintain your skin’s moisture barrier. Plus, Olay’s skin-friendly formula has been clinically proven and is free of parabens, phthalates, and silicones.
I can’t say I’ve noticed any difference in the way my skin looks after using it, but I do think it feels soft and moisturized.
I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a new body wash; curious if anyone reading this has tried any serum-based body washes!
