My Fall Thrift Finds.

I’ve talked a little bit about my current mission to clean out my closet (and my entire apartment) this year.

I’ve already gotten rid of 40 pounds of clothes (!) and there’s more left to sort through.

But, part of getting rid of clothes means replacing some pieces.

As I was cleaning out my closet, I made a list of items to replace — many of which were basic, staple pieces that were too worn or no longer fit properly.

So, during a fall sale on ThredUp, I was able to find a few pieces I’m happy to add into my closet.

And yes, I’m still buying Tommy Hilfiger items — I read his memoir, “American Dreamer” this summer (my full review of it is here), and fell in love.

Here’s what I found:

Tommy Hilfiger sweaters & black boots.

Staple items, including three Tommy Hilfiger sweaters – they are all in nearly-new condition.

I also got a pair of Tommy Hilfiger gray corduroys. They were labeled as “dress pants,” but I figured they were cords, and they are so cute in-person!

I also bought a pair of flat black boots and a pair of smoking flats (both Tommy Hilfiger). The boots are much more practical than the smoking flats, but this is one of many reasons I love thrifting — you can get items you might not wear as often because things are more affordable and don’t hurt the environment.

Corduroys, a puffer jacket, & a cable knit top!

Speaking of things I love about thrifting… I have to reiterate the fact that there’s NO way I’d ever be able to buy new (to me) clothes on my current budget. The items I bought would have been hundreds of dollars from a department store, and I paid $80 for all of it.

Finally, I also bought myself an American Eagle puffer coat! I still have to sort through my coat closet, but I know I’m getting rid of at least two coats.

While it won’t be cold in Austin until December or January, I never want to be ill-prepared, and I really wanted to take advantage of the sale price.

I love everything I got!

I’ve already worn several of these pieces and was, yet again, happily amazed when I opened the box and saw how beautiful they all were.

I’ve been shopping at ThredUp for years and am always impressed with the quality of the clothing they sell (and how they are wrapped for shipping).

To be fully transparent, I had a negative experience buying a gift card from ThredUp this spring, but other than that, I have loved shopping with them over the course of several years.

If you want to shop with them, feel free to use the coupon below!
