When I read “Get the F*ck Out of the Sun” by Lauryn Bosstick (read my full review here) earlier this year, I made a list of all the products from the book I wanted to try.
One thing that was at the top of my list was rosewater. According to Lauryn’s research, rosewater is one way to amplify any skincare routine.
When I read the book, I was working part-time at Ulta, and I often saw people buying the Heritage Store Rosewater Facial Mist.
After reading the book, I sometimes asked customers if they’d been using the rosewater or were trying it for the first time.
Every single person I asked said it was a staple item in their skincare or makeup routine. Some people used it instead of toner, or they mixed it in with their moisturizer or even their foundation!
Multiple people said they used it first thing in the morning instead of washing their face — this is how I’ve used it since day one.
I moisturize pretty heavily during my nighttime routine, and I don’t see the point in rinsing that away when I wake up. So, I spray on the rosewater (very refreshing) to get my day started.
I let it dry before moving on with the rest of my skincare routine, but this has not only helped calm my skin but also locked in the moisture from my other products.
The Heritage Store Rosewater has Damask Rose Oil (which soothes and softens skin), and the brand’s Signature Vor-Mag Water (water which has been vortexed and magnetized to promote higher vibrations and energy).
The Rosewater is also vegan, cruelty-free, and without dyes, alcohol, parabens, sulfates or phthalates.
The Heritage Store Rosewater launched 50+ years ago and has since developed a loyal following and a fun nickname – the OG of Rosewaters.
Given how beneficial this product is, and the history of the Heritage Store, you may be surprised to know that this is not a high-end product (price-wise). The large bottle is around $12!
I’d definitely recommend this product if you’re looking to boost your daily skincare routine — especially as we enter the cooler, dry months.
Have you used rosewater before?
