MY LATEST THRIFT: Abercrombie denim + summery white linen!

I’ve been seeing lots of cute clothes lately, and I knew my wardrobe needed a small update for the summer months.

To be honest, I don’t feel like I do much outside of my apartment, so I don’t need many “outfits.” However, I do have some trips planned this summer and wanted a few staple items that would be comfortable and versatile.

So, I visited my favorite online stop for thrifted clothes: ThredUp!

Dresses and jumpsuits are good for travel, because they provide an entire outfit in a single piece. You can also mix them up with jackets and accessories.

I started by searching for those items, and then narrowing down my options (I’m on a budget).

I was able to find some fantastic items that I’ve already worn to work and gotten so many compliments on.

Wilfred White Linen Dress

What’s more summery than white linen? While I know linen is a bit of a high-maintenance item — not a great trait for travel — I love that you can easily dress it up or down.

Not only could this dress be worn with sandals, wedges, or sneakers, it would be cute with a denim jacket or a colorful kimono. It could also be a swimsuit coverup!

This dress in particular also had some traits I look for when I thrift: buttons, adjustable straps, and smocking — all aspects that make the clothes more adjustable for a better fit over time.

I paid $59 for this dress, which was less than half of what I would have paid if it hadn’t been thrifted.

Unbranded olive jumpsuit

I’m always looking for a cute jumper on ThredUp because while I really want that popular Free People one, there’s no way I’m paying the retail price for it.

I know it’s a long shot even looking for it, but I’m waiting for the next best thing, I guess.

This olive jumpsuit isn’t a trade for the Free People one, but it’s perfect for travel or an outing with friends.

This was only $19, and while I wasn’t sure about the fit, it ended up fitting great and it’s so comfortable!

I also love the color and think it would be cute styled in several ways — with a crop-top bra or a bodysuit underneath, or even with a flannel in early fall.

Abercrombie Distressed Boyfriend Jeans

I’m always scared to buy pants online — it might be just me, but I find it more difficult to get the right fit without being able to try them on.

But, these were in my size range, and with thrifting, it’s not like you can just pick another pair. So, I went ahead and bought these because they were listed in “nearly new” condition, and only $25.

I mean… $25 for Abercrombie boyfriend jeans? My favorite cut, plus they’re black and distressed… I have. similar pair in my closet that needed to be replaced.

I’m SO glad I bought these because they fit great (a little loose in the waist, but I’m going to sew in an extra button) and are so soft. These will get so much wear.

Lauren Conrad Patterned Blouse

This final piece brings about such a crazy story.

I was on this particular thrifting “spree” because I recently cleaned out my closet and was really trying to get rid of everything that no longer fit me.

I ended up getting rid of things I truly loved, but could no longer wear — and that’s not an easy task.

One of the things I got rid of was this Lauren Conrad top I had (just like in the picture). The one I had was from Kohl’s, and I think I bought it 10 years ago to wear to my first job.

I loved the pattern and the cut of it was so flattering. I was so sad to see it go.

But, I always look for Lauren Conrad items when I shop at ThredUp just to see what they have.

And, I’m not kidding, they had this top. Only instead of it being an XS like the one I got rid of, it was my current size, and it even had the tags on it.

HOW???!!!?

It was $15 and I don’t think I’ve ever added something to my cart so fast!

I was so happy to receive it, and it’s going to bring me so much joy anytime I wear it — I was truly meant to have this top!

This order is a reminder of why I love thrifting so much 🙂

If you’re new to ThredUp, you can try it and get $40 off your order, using my link below.

Happy thrifting!
