Over the years, I’ve purchased several items from the show — and I’ve yet to be disappointed!
I was really intrigued when i saw a product called “Granola Butter” from a company known as Oat Haus on the show.
The CEO and Co-Founder, Ali, had an interesting story — going from studying nutrition and food in school to suffering from an eating disorder.
As she was recovering from the ED, she discovered her body didn’t jive well with nuts. When she searched for a nut-free spread, there weren’t options.
So, she made her own. Enter: Granola Butter. It’s the world’s first oat-based spread!
This spread has the consistency of a nut spread (the natural kind you have to stir), but it’s nut-free, gluten-free, vegan, allergen-free, GMO-free… the list continues.
Although it’s not a nut spread, you can use it in the same way you would use peanut butter or almond butter.
Use it on apple slices or celery, in smoothies, or on toast. You can bake with it or simply eat it straight out of the jar.
I reallllly wanted to try this stuff. But, it was a little expensive to order it online.
So, when I saw it was stocked at a nearby Sprouts, I headed there and was SO excited when I saw it!
Oat Haus has made several flavors, and Sprouts had jars of the original and cookie dough. I had to go for the cookie dough!
I’m happy to report that I’ve finished and repurchased several jars of cookie dough Granola Butter since then 🙂
I’ve eaten it right out of the jar and mixed in with oatmeal. My favorite way to eat it is spread on a rice cake. I’ve even packed it in my lunch every day of jury duty as a lil snack.
The Granola Butter is sweet, but not too sweet. It’s rich in flavor, so a little goes a long way.
Now that I’ve tried it, and am a fan, I cannot wait to try other flavors, especially Brownie Batter and Coffee!
