I haven’t spoken much here about it, but I have been on a skin journey for the past few weeks. I’ll definitely post more about what happened and ALL the products I’ve been using to cure it, but basically…
I have been having really irritated, red, textured skin on my cheeks for a majority of the past year. It was really looking so awful, and I would notice that if I didn’t skip my skincare routine, it would look a tiny bit better, but never actually went away.
I basically realized that my Clarisonic was to blame for the bacteria flare… and I bought lots of acne products and have been crazy about not touching my face, applying all products with a clean pad, and using a clean washcloth every time… sounds simple but my skin has improved so much in just a few weeks.
I’ll go into detail about all of this once I try a few more products, but I wanted to go ahead and share this product in particular because it has shown me INSANE results in just one use, but now I’ve been using it regularly for three weeks.
It’s the First Aid Beauty Pharma Arnica Relief & Rescue Mask. I got it when I was looking for specific products for irritated skin.
This mask is said to help relieve the appearance of redness, dehydration, irritation, stress and tightness. I wasn’t experiencing tightness or necessarily dry skin, but I was looking for products that would reduce redness and clear up (what I assume to be) bacteria.
The main ingredient in the mask is Arnica, which is said to have skin-supporting properties that help soothe and smooth. It also has Blue Tansy Oil, which helps calm while also giving the formula a blue tint and a subtle, natural scent.
The mask is $32 at Ulta and it comes in a pretty large tube and the good news is, you don’t need much. I have just been using it on my skin’s problem areas (cheeks and sometimes my chin). You put on a semi-thick layer, let it sit for at least 15 minutes, then rub it in.
I’ll be 100% honest, at first I was using it wrong and was just letting it sit there… I was sleeping in it… then I read the directions again and have been using it correctly – ha! But, even when I wasn’t rubbing it in, my skin looked worlds different… less redness, less bumpiness… and about three weeks after using it, my issue is nearly gone. It’s honestly insane. I have been taking before and after photos to share once I get the massive post together, but trust me on this one.
I have tried a few FAB products prior to this one and am always impressed by them, but this is the first one I’ve sought out and purchased full-size. It’s so good!
