Well… tomorrow is premier day for “The Hills: New Beginngs” season 2 and I just cannot wait to get this party started!
I’m not going to lie to you, I spent a good chunk of my Sunday watching season one so I could get a refresh of all the drama — don’t worry, I called my mom for Mother’s Day 🙂
After rewatching season one and seeing the teaser for season two, I’ve got questions that I hope get answered over the course of the season. Here they are:
Will there be any mention of Stephanie?
Stephanie Pratt is nowhere to be seen in the season two teaser. I can’t say I’m surprised from a viewer’s standpoint, but she was a central part of the drama in season one with Justin Bobby, herself, and Audrina.
Prior to season one, she’d moved to London after a fallout with Spencer and Heidi, so perhaps she’s on her own now… but, will anyone mention it?
Will Justin Bobby & Audrina finally end up together?
My initial thought is no, of course they will not end up together. But of course, the teaser makes it look that way. There are a few clips of Audrina talking about the difficulties of being a single mom and dating… and then her saying that her and Brody kissed.
Umm….! Then, there’s a clip of Justin Bobby with his dad saying he wants marriage, kids… I am just really excited to see that go down.
What is the future of Brody and Kaitlynn’s relationship?
I know a lot about “The Hills” was fake, and I do think some of the stuff in the reboot is forced, but toward the end of season one, we witnessed a very real breakdown of Brody and Kaitlynn’s marriage. It was tough to watch, and when the season wrapped, they split, and before we knew it, Kaitlynn was dating Miley Cyrus.
There are several clips of Brody and Kaitlynn in the teaser discussing their relationship, and Brody saying he doesn’t want to hurt people. I know Brody is sort of this bro that’s easily unlikable, but I always liked him on the original series. I think deep down he has a good side, and maybe we’ll see that this season.
What’s thE status on Jason’s sobriety?
In season one, Jason is the shining golden boy, perfectly packaged from Dr. Drew’s warehouse… until he “has a slip” before Thanksgiving and drinks a bottle of vodka. While he seems to get back on track pretty quickly, prior slips have led him down a very dark path, including gambling away the family home and all the crap inside it.
It looks like this season is another rocky one for Jason, and as a result, his wife. There’s a few clips of her crying, and another of Spencer saying, “I don’t know if he’s sober.” Yikes.
Is Brandon about to propose?
Y’all. I am SO glad Brandon Lee — son of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee — is back this season! I love his energy, swagger, and from the looks of it, his cash flow. In season one, he was dating a beautiful girl, but it didn’t seem too serious.
In the teaser, it looks like he shows his sig-other some sort of ring, piece of jewelry, keys to a Benz… something to make her give a “WOW” face of total shock. He’s the youngest of the bunch (I’m pretty sure he’s not 30 yet), so it seems fast, but he’s lived a pretty fast life.
What’s up with Mischa?
When it was announced that Mischa Barton of “The OC” fame would be a part of the cast for season one, I wondered how she would fit in. But, she actually seemed to ground the group. She’s arguably less-famous now, but she’s a legit actress in Hollywood, so she brings an interesting story to the show.
But, her parts in the teaser were minimal. I’m wondering if she’ll show more of her acting career or follow up on any of her family drama she mentioned in season one.
Who is Kristin Cavallari reuniting with?
This blog post wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the bombshell at the end of the teaser: Kristin Cavallari’s RETURN. I honestly figured she was back on the show post-divorce and when she was spotted with Stephen Coletti (le sigh)at the start of the year.
But, I’ve heard she’ll only be on one episode and I’m curious to see how that unfolds. Will it be a party with the cast, or will it be a date with Justin Bobby? Brody? The teaser makes it seem like it’s JB, but I’m not so sure… I’m so excited to see!
