R+Co Dark Waves fragrance

A Review: R+Co Dark Waves Fragrance Gel.

Yes, I have still been wearing fragrance in quarantine! I’ve found that even though I’m at home with no one to smell me (ha!) but kitty Blanche, it’s still really nice to get a whiff of a good perfume every now and then.

So, I’ve been working my way through all of my perfume samples and random fragrance collection. I got this R+Co Dark Waves Fragrance Gel in one of my Birchboxes. It’s an interesting product because it’s not a solid perfume nor is it a spray. I love that it has a pump and you can still rub it on your wrists, or wherever you usually apply perfume.

But, my favorite part about this product is the scent itself. There are hints of Cardamom, Pineapple, Tangerine, Lavender, Bamboo, Blonde Woods — yum!

This product is also vegan and cruelty-free, which is something I’m looking out for now.

If you’re not familiar with R+Co as a brand, they’re primarily a hair care company. But, they’ve got this surfer girl, adventurous vibe to them that goes hand-in-hand with the products they sell. That’s another reason this fragrance gel makes sense: it’s a spill-proof on-the-go option and you can run in through your hair for a quick scent boost!

At the time of this writing, the fragrance gel is sold out on the R+Co website, but if the scent sounds delicious to you, I found other R+Co products that have the same scent — score!

  • Dark Waves Body Wash: A luxurious body wash that includes aloe to soften and moisturize skin, plus the citrus and spice scent.
  • Dark Waves Body Lotion: Enjoy this scent paired with the benefits of antioxidants, Vitamin C, and coconut oil for glowing, hydrated skin.
  • Dark Waves Candle: Gosh, I’m a sucker for candles and this one is vegan + cruelty-free, plus it has a 62-hour burn time. *Add to cart*

I’ve tried several other R+Co products — including a solid dry shampoo and a dry shampoo foam — and am always impressed. Definitely put this brand on your radar if you haven’t already.

I had a pretty good week and am looking forward to this weekend, although I have no real plans, of course. I’m going to read and finish taking my screenwriting class!

I hope you all have a great weekend, no matter what’s on the to-do list.
