A review: Dermalogica daily microfoliant.

How is everyone’s motivation going right now? I feel like in the beginning of the pandemic, we were openly talking about how everything was just weird, and even though we’re all getting used to the way things are for now, I still feel like I have my ups and downs.

If I have two really great, productive days, and then I’ll likely be lazy the next day, and that was me yesterday. I was pretty lazy (but I did write 2,000 words on my #NaNoWriMo book), so naturally this morning, I am up really early trying to knock things off my to-do list.

Anyway, I’ve been trying to use my time at home as an opportunity to use all of the little beauty samples I’ve collected over the last year and I’m finally making a small dent in my stash.

The latest product is Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant. Here is the scoop on this product:

Achieve brighter, smoother skin every day with this iconic exfoliating powder. Rice-based powder activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid and Rice Enzymes to polish skin to perfection. A Skin Brightening Complex of Phytic Acid from Rice Bran, White Tea and Licorice helps balance uneven skin tone while a super-soothing blend of Colloidal Oatmeal and Allantoin helps calm skin. Gentle enough for daily use.

This is a unique product because it really is just a dry powder. When I read the instructions and it said just to add water, I was thinking “yeah right” but it really does work! It’s actually one of the brand’s best-selling products.

I like that you can make the “paste” as thick or as thin as you want, and even though I got a sample of it, I have used it several times and still have some left! A little bit goes a long way.

I have only tried a few Dermalogica products, but they always impress me. I actually had a little facial at Ulta a few years ago that was all Dermalogica products, and they are really good if you have more serious skin issues.

Have you tried any Dermalogica products or similar powder products like this?
