When I started teaching Blogging for Beginners years ago, I remember one of my students got very frustrated with me because I was using jargon she didn’t understand. In particular, she was referring to terms like “blogging platform” and “URL” and she called me out in the middle of a class.
I felt bad. I created the course for anyone to take, even if they weren’t sure what a blog was. When you learn anything new, it often comes with a new language, and that can add frustration to an already scary experience.
Since then, I’ve really tried to fully-explain everything about blogging, including some of the terms associated with it.

Of course, you don’t need to memorize these… and maybe you’ll never even come across some of them! But, you can always refer back to this list.
