Coming at you almost two days later than I intended, but I’m here! It has been a wild week, but I think I’m on the other side of it… we can only hope.
I wanted to share about my newest pair of glasses from EyeBuyDirect because I have been ordering prescription glasses and non-prescription sunglasses from them for the last five years!
I always wonder if most people order online now or if getting them in-person is still the norm. I have found some really inexpensive pairs of glasses on EyeBuy and I am always pleased with what comes in the mail.
I have always had a pretty high prescription, especially for my age. Buying glasses in-person was always a struggle and then you add in sales associates and… just no. Plus, I mostly wear contacts during the day and then wear glasses before bed or on days when I want to give my eyes a rest.
Because of my high prescription, I try to stick to a routine and get to the eye doctor every year. However, it has been a real struggle for me lately.
If you’ve been around for a little while, you may know that my dad passed away at the beginning of 2018. In 2017, doctors discovered a mass in my dad’s brain, behind his left eye, which was later determined to be cancerous.
I found out later that my dad had a questionable result during a routine eye exam, but he couldn’t afford to get an additional, more informative scan.
Ever since I found that out, I have been terrified to get my eyes examined… so I simply didn’t go for almost two years.
But, I made it a POINT to go last month, even though I nearly had an anxiety attack before my appointment.
Turns out, my eyes are healthy and my prescription actually didn’t change that much! I got new contacts and my glasses prescription. I ordered my glasses that same night, I was so relieved and excited.
The pair I ordered last time was the “Notting Hill” and while I loved the pattern on the frame, I didn’t think the shape was very flattering and they were a little small for my prescription.
This time, I knew I wanted clear frames. I thought they would look cute when I do wear makeup and glasses 🙂 I also wanted a bigger sized frame since I wanted a change from the smaller, round frames.
I narrowed it down to three pair, and when my high prescription knocked out one of my options, I knew the “Attitude” was likely going to be my pick. I was also really excited that they were part of the Tan France line!
EyeBuy also has a tool that allows you to “try on” the glasses you’re looking at by simply uploading a selfie and then it puts the glasses on your face. This was helpful, but also the reviews and user-submitted photos were a big help.
I was able to get the frames with prescription lenses, plus blue light blocking, for $128… amazing!
Also, when I made my purchase, I was asked if I wanted to donate a pair of glasses to someone in the country of your choice. Wow! Given my 2020 goals, this made me feel even better about my purchase.
If you want to try EyeBuyDirect, I do have a link for $10 off your order! Let me know what frames you pick.
