Coming to you from underneath my blankets — I have a crap combo of chilly weather, post-dental op pain and general mental crumminess… but I’m HERE. Plus, I saw which product I was reviewing today and it makes sitting up in bed a little easier.
Today, I’m talking about Olehenriksen Power Bright, a three-step skin brightening system that I found in the clearance section at TJ Maxx before the holidays. I used it religiously and wow, this stuff is GOOD. Here’s the product description:
Power Bright is an at-home, professional-strength intensive brightening system with an unprecedented 25% Vitamin C Concentrate to help brighten skin and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The three steps—Moment of Truth™ 2-in-1 Polishing Sugar Mask, Truth 25% Vitamin C Concentrate and Uncover the Truth™ 3-in-1 Melting Cleanser—work in synergy to awaken and nourish a dull complexion in less than 30 minutes. After just one use, see luminosity restored and a brighter, youthful-looking Ole Glow™!
Power Bright’s three-step system:
POLISH: Moment of Truth 2-in-1 Polishing Sugar Mask, with sugar, honey and pomegranate seed powder, helps polish away dead, dull skin
BRIGHTEN: Truth 25% Vitamin C Concentrate contains an unprecedented, stabilized form of ascorbic acid
GLOW: As the last step in Power Bright, Uncover the Truth 3-in-1 Melting Cleanser, with rosehip fruit, cherry seed and sweet almond oils, helps activate the system and leaves skin feeling soft and supple
This skin system comes packaged with the individual steps together on a card, so it would be ideal for travel. You start with clean skin and then do the polishing sugar mask, which you leave on and then rub around to exfoliate the skin.
After rinsing, step two is this… I want to call it a dry cream, but I know that makes zero sense. But it’s a thick cream that feels very nourishing, not wet. Then, you top that with the third step, which is a gel cleanser.
The kit also comes with a special sponge to wipe away the final step. After I rinsed everything off, I knew this was a great find. But even the next day, and as I continued using it, wow. My skin felt so clean, smooth and moisturized.
Honestly, this was not the first product from Olehenriksen that I’ve tried and I am always impressed. These products are a little bit pricier, but I think if it really makes a difference, than the investment is worth it.
I found this box of six treatments on clearance for $12. Normally, it sells for $55 (It’s on Amazon for $25) Olehenriksen also sells other skin systems like this one that target other things. This one is focused on anti-aging, and there’s one called Power Peel, which smooths and illuminates the skin.
Honestly, even at full price, I think this is worth it! You’re supposed to use it once a week, so a six-pack would last for six weeks. Truly a game changer!
