A Review: Lush Ocean Salt Face & Body Scrub.

For my birthday, I asked my mom for a gift certificate to Lush. I have always loved the products I get there, and I truly appreciate that they’re ethical, but they are always “treat” items for me.

So, when I actually got a gift card, I ran to Lush and spent all of it the very same day. I already knew I wanted to buy a few specific items, including the Ocean Salt face and body scrub.

I’d seen it before, but I solidified my choice when I saw one of my favorite beauty influencers say it was the best scrub ever.

Here is the description of it from Lush:

Refreshing, exfoliating, hydrating…what doesn’t this scrub do? Our cult classic scrub has a mineral-rich mix of fine and coarse sea salt for serious exfoliation, balanced with coconut oil and avocado butter to soften the skin. That punchy citrus scent? It comes from lime oil as well as limes extracted in vodka to brighten and tone. Just one scrub with this beauty and you’ll see why it’s so popular!

The first thing I’ll comment on is the scent… not only is it lime… but there’s also vanilla. At first (before I smelled it), I was unsure of this combination. But it really does smell like the beach in a more natural way. Its amazing!

The scrub itself is a larger salt grain, which gives great exfoliation and it’s more of a paste. It doesn’t foam or anything, and it’s really pleasant. I have been using it about once a week and I know I’m going to be buying this again!

The scrub is $21 for a 4-ounce, which gave me a little sticker shock, but after using it, I think it’s totally worth it. A little bit of the scrub go a long way, so depending how often you exfoliate, it should last you awhile.

Blogging Boot Camp in Baton Rouge, LouisianaI also feel better about paying a little more for Lush products because they do not test on animals, nor do they purchase ingredients from any company that tests on animals. They also support causes I care about, including refugee programs, trans rights, and fighting against trophy hunting, among others.

Although Ocean Salt is one of their best sellers, some of their other scrubs include Scrub Scrub Scrub (berry scented), Rub Rub Rub (floral), The Rough With the Smooth (sweet and spicy), and Magic Crystals (spearmint).

I definitely want to try the others, but I do love the Ocean Salt!

I also wanted to mention one last time that my Blogging Boot Camp in Baton Rouge is TOMORROW! There are still seats left, and I would love to see you there!
