A Review: Aveeno Foot Mask.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled across Aveeno’s new line of masks for hands and feet. I was actually at the grocery store, and I walked there — it’s about two miles each way — because my Jeep wouldn’t start and I was determined not to let that stand in my way of getting things crossed off my to-do list!

But, once I got there and grabbed my groceries, I wasn’t quite ready to venture away from the air conditioning, so I wandered down the beauty aisle (my favorite place). I recently tried a sheet mask from Aveeno, so I was really excited when I saw these!

There was a hand mask, too. Here’s the official product description for the foot mask from the Aveeno website:

Give extra-dry skin the boot!

Repair and relieve dry, tired feet with these hydrating foot masks. They help repair extra-dry skin to leave your feet looking softer and feeling smoother. AVEENO® Repairing CICA Foot Masks are easy to use. Just wash and dry your feet, slip on the foot mask for 10 minutes, and remove.

What is CICA? CICA comes from the French word “Cicatrisation.” AVEENO® Repairing CICA Foot Mask is formulated to intensely moisturize & help repair problem skin.

  • One pair of moisturizing foot masks
  • Enriched with shea butter and Prebiotic Oat
  • Made to help balance skin’s natural moisture barrier
  • Gentle enough for dry, sensitive skin
  • Easy to use
  • Paraben-free and fragrance-free

The foot mask on the website had a 4.6/5 rating, with 324 reviews!

I should preface my review by saying that even though beauty items like these aren’t expensive, I consider them a total treat. So, before I put on the foot mask, I prepped my feet as if I were to give myself an at-home pedicure.

I’d recently stomped all over New York and then walked more than usual being without my Jeep for two weeks, so my feet really needed some rest and extra care.

So, when you open the pack, the socks are completely sealed so you don’t have to worry about using them right away. When you’re ready to use them, you tear off the top of the socks and slip your foot in.

It’s not cold or weird feeling… and honestly, I was really impressed with this little adhesive strip at the top of each sock. This make it so you can tighten it around your ankles. Sounds silly, but this way you could wear them without worry that they would slip off and make a mess.

Although you just have to wear them for 10 minutes, you could easily curl up in these, go to bed wearing them, or not have to worry if you need to get up and walk while wearing them. I wore them for a few hours and did have to get up and do a few things around my apartment and they were fine.

When I took them off, my feet felt soft, and not cold or sticky. Honestly, they still feel soft even a few weeks later!

This was a fun little treat for my feet and I was thinking that I should probably just start keeping these at home for anytime I come back from a trip — I always seem to give my feet absolute hell when I travel.

Heck, I could even wear them on the plane home… ha! I’ll spare my fellow travelers, but these are definitely worth a try if you want to give yourself a spa moment.
