Christmas is less than a WEEK away, but I thought I’d squeeze in one last gift guide for the season! There’s definitely still time to shop before Christmas – I remember some years on Christmas Eve, as a kid, my dad and I would go to Target or the mall just to see if people were really scrambling.
As a beauty junkie, I was born to make this guide! However, I tried to keep it to stuff the beauty guru on your list may not already have…
1. Laura Geller Palettes
When I went to New York, I packed a face palette that had color for all over, bronzer, blush, eye shadow, and highlighter and it all actually worked and saved me a ton of room in my suitcase. Now I’m ALL FOR a palette! I love Laura Geller’s products, so these are a win. This is a set of three palettes, each with a different color story. The set is available on Amazon, but it is also on sale for $17 (originally $27) at Ulta, which is a steal!
2. Morphe Setting Spray
I can thank Jaclyn Hill for introducing me to all-things Morphe, because I have yet to try one of their products that I don’t love. This setting spray is THE BEST and I’ve tried several. This is the first time that I’ve stopped just buying whatever I see (I am always trying new things) and gone directly to the Morphe section for this. It’s amazing!
3. Bumble and Bumble Glimmer Finishing Spray
This would only be a good gift if the beauty junkie in your life loves glitter (I know some people hate it). I will give any excuse to wear glitter – hey, it’s Wednesday, glitter eyeliner! But this hairspray isn’t Halloween-level glitter; it’s subtle enough to wear every day and it comes in gold, silver, or rose gold.
4. Caboodle
Did you know, Caboodles are back? Yes! I was actually gifted a vintage Caboodle several years ago for Christmas and I keep my everyday makeup in it. It’s a little joy to pull it out every morning and use it as part of my routine. But they are back and Ulta has several different styles (some for under $20), while Amazon has a bit more of a selection. Also, don’t forget about eBay! Search “Caboodle” and there’s new models, along with 80’s vintage styles.
5. Rose All Day serum
I don’t know the sales numbers for Physician’s Formula’s Rose All Day serum, but I would venture to guess it’s one of their best-selling products. It’s nearly always sold-out at Ulta and Target! After using it, it provides a nice glow under-the-skin and is a nice addition to any moisturizer. Aaaand I just found it on Amazon for $7 + Prime – you’re welcome!
6. Burt’s Bees skincare
I recently tried a few of the items from the Burt’s Bees skincare line – the Herbal Complexion Stick and the Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser – and I loved them both! It’s affordable, and they even sell it at drugstores, so you can get it just about anywhere. I found this starter kit that has cleansing wipes, cleanser, and moisturizer. I have also seen similar kits at Walgreen’s, along with individual items if you wanted to put together your own kit! At the time of this writing, all Burt’s Bees products are on sale, buy one get one 50% off at Ulta!
7. Glow Recipe Watermelon Sheet Mask
I’m not entirely sure HOW I stumbled across Glow Recipe’s goodness, but I’m so glad I did. After watching from afar (i.e. on Instagram), I finally treated myself to one of their Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Masks – it’s a bit of a splurge, but it is amazing! They have all sorts of other products, including the Watermelon Sleeping Mask.
8. Bare Minerals lip color
Honestly, there is not a Bare Minerals product that I don’t love and I’ve tried the classics, the skincare, and the new stuff. It’s all well worth the price, and it’s great for your skin! I recently scored one of their Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lip Colors at TJ Maxx and I love it! I have also used several of their Moxie Lip Plumping glosses – also perfect for just keeping in your purse. Any of these would be a great gift! I found a few good kits: This Gen Nude Trio set and a set of 4 mini Moxie plumping glosses!
9. Smashbox colored eyeliner
Over the summer, I was on a mission to find a great colored eye pencil to use on my lower lash line. I bought two from Smashbox – their Always Sharp Kohl Eyeliner is a game changer! I bought it in Cabana (a nice teal) and French Navy (a midnight blue). There’s a kit that has 5 of their eyeliners (including a gold, purple, and blue) or a festive Holiday kit with 4 Kohl liners and 1 liquid.
Ta-da! What products are you loving that I missed? Let me know in the comments! Anyone out there shopping today? I’ve got to get to the post office and Trader Joe’s and I’m already having anxiety about the likelihood of crowds. Good luck out there!
