- Material: The upper is knit from a blend of RWS-certified merino wool and Rothy’s signature thread, which is made from recycled plastic bottles (about four bottles per pair!).
- Lining: A vegan sherpa lining adds extra warmth and comfort.
- Fit & Comfort: Cushy insoles provide support, and the adjustable dark brown laces ensure an optimal fit. I stuck with my usual size (6) and had no trouble wearing socks with them.
- Sole: The lightweight rubber lug sole provides durable traction, perfect for city walking.
- Heel: At 1.5 inches (4 cm), the chunky heel adds a little height without sacrificing comfort.
Real-World Test: Buffalo Trip
I purchased these boots specifically for a trip to Buffalo, New York, where I knew I’d be doing a lot of walking in cooler temperatures (it was 11 degrees + a wind chill during the trip).
Before the trip, I broke them in slightly, but once I arrived, I put them to the real test—one day, I logged over 15,000 steps, and my feet stayed comfortable and warm the entire time. No blisters, no soreness, just cozy support.
