For years, I relied on a traditional stovetop kettle to make my tea, hot chocolate, and sometimes coffee (when using my French press).
It was familiar, reliable, and honestly, I never gave much thought to switching things up—until my kettle needed replacing.
That’s when I started looking into electric kettles and considering their benefits. Now that I’ve been using the Chefman Glass Electric Kettle, I can confidently say I’m never going back.
Why I Made the Switch
The two biggest reasons I decided to upgrade were speed and temperature control. I make pour-over coffee and use a French press regularly, both of which require water at specific temperatures.
With a traditional stovetop kettle, I had to guess when the water was ready (or use a separate thermometer). The Chefman Electric Kettle takes out the guesswork by heating water quickly and maintaining the perfect temperature with its “Keep Warm” function.
While I did consider the one advantage of my old stovetop kettle—being able to use it on a gas stove during a power outage (hello, Texas freeze of 2022)—I figured that in an emergency, I could always boil water in a regular pot if needed.
Chefman Electric Kettle Features & Benefits
Fast Boiling: The kettle heats water in as little as three minutes, making my morning routine so much more efficient.
Keep Warm Function: Once the water reaches a boil, it automatically stays hot for up to an hour—no need to reheat.
Removable Lid & Wide Opening: Filling and cleaning are easy, thanks to the lift-out lid design.
Integrated Tea Infuser: If you’re a loose-leaf tea drinker, this feature is a game-changer! You can steep your tea directly in the kettle.
LED Boil Indicators: Red and green LED lights let you know when the water is heating and when it’s ready.
Cordless Convenience: The kettle sits on a 360-degree swivel base, making it easy to lift and pour without dealing with a cord.
Mess-Free Pouring: The spout is designed to prevent spills and drips, so no more water pooling on the counter.
My Experience
From the first use, I was impressed by how fast this kettle heats water. It takes just a few minutes—compared to the 10+ minutes I was used to with my old stovetop kettle.
The Keep Warm function has been surprisingly useful, especially on slow mornings when I don’t want to rush to make my second cup of coffee.
I also love how quiet it is. Unlike a screaming stovetop kettle, this one just clicks off when it’s ready, making it a great choice if you share a home with others.
And while I didn’t initially think much about the cordless design, I now appreciate how easy it is to move the kettle around without dragging the base with it.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for an electric kettle that’s fast, functional, and easy to use, the Chefman Glass Electric Kettle is a fantastic choice. Whether you’re making coffee, tea, or just need hot water in a hurry, this kettle delivers. The built-in tea infuser, LED indicators, and mess-free pouring are just bonuses on top of an already great design.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. If you’re still using a stovetop kettle like I was, this is an upgrade worth making.
