A Review: Oralfree Smart Oral Irrigator.

Over the years, I’ve gotten into a solid routine with my dental care. I’ve been using an electric toothbrush (the Made By Dentists one – full review is here) and flossing regularly, which has kept dental issues at bay.

But after a less-than-pleasant experience at the dentist a few months ago, I realized I needed something extra to care for my gums. Enter the Oralfree Smart Oral Irrigator.

I’ll admit, finding the right oral irrigator was a bit overwhelming. There are so many options out there!

My main criteria were size (I don’t have much storage space), price, and a little fun factor—because if I add a new gadget to my routine, it should look nice. When I came across the Oralfree Smart Oral Irrigator, it checked all the boxes: it’s compact, affordable, and comes in great colors (I picked the lavender!).

What Makes the Oralfree Smart Oral Irrigator Stand Out?

Here are the key features that drew me to this irrigator and how they’ve worked for me:

Compact Design: This irrigator is small and lightweight, making it easy to store and perfect for travel. It’s also waterproof, so you can use it in the shower if you like.

Four Modes: It has four water pressure modes (Soft, Normal, Pulse, and Strong) to suit different needs. If you’re new to water flossing, starting with Soft mode is recommended. I used Soft mode for a couple of weeks before switching to Normal, which now feels perfect for daily use.

Battery Life: The rechargeable battery lasts about 15 days on a single charge, and it’s super easy to charge with the included USB cable. No need for special adapters!

Accessories: The irrigator comes with five replacement jet tips, which can rotate 360 degrees. I’ve tried two of them so far, and both work great.

Powerful Cleaning: With a water pulse rate of 1400-1800 times per minute and a pressure range of 30-110 PSI, this device effectively removes trapped food and plaque that traditional brushing and flossing might miss. It’s been especially helpful for my gums and makes my whole mouth feel incredibly clean.

My Experience

I’ve been using the Oralfree Smart Oral Irrigator almost every night for a little over two months. At first, there was a bit of a learning curve (pro tip: keep your mouth closed to avoid a splash zone!), but after a few tries, I got the hang of it.

The feeling of cleanliness after using it is unmatched. My teeth and gums feel so fresh, and I’ve noticed that my gums look healthier, too.

One game-changing tip: I’ve been adding a capful of TheraBreath Healthy Gums Mouthwash to the water reservoir along with water. This combination takes the freshness to another level and leaves my mouth feeling amazing.

Final Thoughts

The Oralfree Smart Oral Irrigator has become an essential part of my nightly routine. I can’t imagine going back to life without it. The compact design, customizable settings, and powerful cleaning make it a fantastic addition to any dental care routine—especially if you’re looking to level up your gum care like I was.

If you’re on the fence about trying a water irrigator, I’d highly recommend this one. It’s easy to use, effective, and affordable, with a touch of style to boot. Plus, it’s a great way to elevate your at-home dental care without the hassle of frequent trips to the dentist.
