I got a gift card to Lush for Christmas and saved it for a day when I could actually go to the Lush store near my apartment.
That day was Valentine’s Day, and although I love to online shop, it’s worth it to actually go INTO Lush and smell alllll of their goodies!
I bought bath bombs, a foot scrubbing bar, and facial soap, but I was really excited to take home some of their makeup. According to the salesperson, Lush has been selling cosmetics in other countries for a while, but we’re just now getting it in the US.
I get Lush emails, so I’d already seen some of the makeup and knew I wanted to try the eyeliner. But, when I saw the Skin Tint, I audibly gasped in delight. What the hell was this stuff?
I put a dab of “Feeling Younger” on the back of my hand and rubbed it in. It was white in the jar but nearly blended in with my skin and added a glow I’d never seen. It is iridescent but does not have bits of shimmer or chunky glitter — I’m honestly still confused as to how it works.
Like all Lush products, it’s vegan and is made from fair trade ingredients. This has oatmeal, jojoba oil, and cocoa butter to soothe and hydrate the skin — hello, Holy Grail product!
I tossed a jar into my basket without a second thought and have used it ever since.
I have mostly been wearing it under my foundation, specifically in my undereye area. However, it would be great to wear it alone, especially in the summer months.
You could also dab it on top of makeup as a highlighter or even put a tiny bit on the eyelids for the clean girl look.
I LOVE this stuff and am so happy I came across it.
Lush has a similar product called “Charisma,” which is a bronzer, and I’m excited to try that next!
Have you tried any makeup from Lush?
