A Review: MyKronoz MyScale Smart Wi-Fi Scale.

I’m in the middle of three consecutive days off from my retail job, and it’s a nice little break. I usually work five days per week, and it’s easy for my life outside of work to be chaotic — piles of laundry, an untidy apartment, lack of meal prep… you get it.

So, I’m using these days to get things in order and do a little bit of freelance work but also rest.

And I realized it’s time to share a review of the scale I got for Christmas! It’s the MyKronoz MyScale Smart Wi-Fi Scale — I got the “Gradient” option in terms of color.

I haven’t had a scale in my bathroom since I was a kid, and it was my parents’. However, there was a scale at the last gym I joined, and between hopping on that thing nearly daily and using My Fitness Pal, I was damn-near an eating disorder.

So, I stopped weighing myself, and tried not to cringe when I’d hear my weight at my annual doctor’s appointment.

But since I was turned away from my last doctor’s appointment due to an insurance fuck up, I started to consider ways I could monitor my health from home.

I have since gotten my health insurance figured out but not before I got the scale.

Anyway, I asked for a scale for Christmas, and I wanted one that would connect to an app so I could monitor the ups and downs. I also wanted something that would monitor other things outside of my weight. I wasn’t sure if it was possible, but I also asked for a scale that would keep users from being obsessive.

My mom did all the research, and on Christmas day, we set up the scale!

Here’s what the scale offers:

  • It measures your weight, BMI, muscle mass, bone mass, body fat, water mass, heart rate, and displays the weather
  • You can have up to eight user profiles (on one scale)
  • It has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability
  • It connects with the MyKronoz app where you can track your data
  • It has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (so you don’t have to plug it in all the time)

Now that I’ve used the scale for a few months, I’m happy to report that I love it!

It’s slim and cool-looking, so I don’t mind having it in my bathroom.

The coolest feature is that you can control what numbers you see when you step on the scale. Don’t want to see your weight? Don’t have to!

At the time of this writing, I’ve been seeing and tracking ALL the numbers, but I haven’t been focusing on the weight. Instead, I focus on the water and bone density.

But if I feel like the weight is becoming an unhealthy obsession, I like knowing that I can simply stop seeing it when I step on the scale.

All in all, I think this is a great scale, especially for the price.

Do you use a scale or something else to monitor your health at home?
