One good thing about working retail is that it’s got me back in the routine of getting ready! That probably sounds really sad, but when I was solely working from home, I hardly ever wore an outfit or did an extensive makeup or hair routine.
Sure, I changed my clothes, but it was just putting on fresh loungewear (no shade whatsoever). I also did my hair and makeup whenever I had a Zoom call, but it was never anything major.
Working retail has given me a good reason for diving into my makeup collection and trying new (to me) products and looks.
Doing so made me realize that I needed a great foundation brush. What I was using before left my foundation and powder breaking up and patchy on my face!
So, I went on the hunt for an affordable foundation brush, and if possible, I wanted it to be eco-friendly.
Enter: EcoTools!
I looked for a foundation brush for an embarrassingly long time, and the reviews for the EcoTools Wonder Cover Complexion Foundation Makeup Brush sold me!
Plus, it’s eco-friendly 🙂
The bristles are short and densely packed, so I just pat the foundation all over my face. The result is full-coverage, smooth-looking skin, and I love it!
I’ve also had this one long enough to have cleaned it a few times. I’ve used various makeup brush cleansers with it, but generally speaking, I think any gentle cleanser works fine for washing makeup brushes.
It’s fairly easy to clean (which likely depends on the foundation you use and how you use the brush), and you can use it dry or wet, depending on the amount of coverage you want.
The shape of the brush is unique, and since it’s slim (it’s sort of an oval shape), it makes it easier to get around the eyes and create shapes for contouring.
This is a truly great foundation brush and I’m so glad I found it!
