It’s day two of my monthly juice cleanse, and also day two of me trying to have a better week, and get some personal projects done.
Yesterday was really productive, and I was exhausted by the end of the day — but it felt good knowing I filled my day with good things for myself.
Yesterday, I also wore one of my latest thrifting finds: a pair of Ugg Ultra Minis!
Over the last several years, I’ve stopped buying new clothes — I get everything thrifted.
I do not support fast-fashion because of how much it hurts the planet and for how poorly workers are treated and paid. I cannot, in good conscious, wear an item that’s part of something so gross.
If I can’t thrift it (such as undies), I buy from companies that are eco-friendly and pay a fair wage.
But mostly, I thrift. Goodwill, ThredUp, and Poshmark have become my favorite places to find goodies.
Just because I thrift, doesn’t mean I don’t see trends and new items I don’t want! Usually, when I see new things I want, I take a picture or a screenshot and save it for when I can find something similar that’s used.
…Which is why I went on an absolute HUNT on Poshmark for some Uggs. I have a pair with the bows that I got two years ago for $40 (retail $200) and I love them!
I wore those during the freeze, but mostly when I would go to yoga classes in the colder months.

However, I saw fashion influencers wearing the Ugg Ultra Minis and thought they would be great for wearing around the apartment, or running errands.
They retail for $140. So, I started my Poshmark hunt and actually found lots of options.
But, I settled on a pair of leopard print, that were barely worn. I always look for items that have been worn (to get the lower price), but there’s not much visible wear.
The seller also had lots of pictures, which I think is a must. The bottoms looked new, and they were selling for $85. SOLD.

I wore them all day yesterday and absolutely love them! I never even saw the leopard print as an option on the Ugg website, which is the other awesome thing about thrifting — you get stuff not everyone can get!
While I was searching, I kept seeing Clear Uggs for sale. Most of them were hot pink or orange, and I was scrolling right past them — not for me.
But, then I saw a pair of cream ones with black trim… wait. I looked them up on the Ugg website, they retail for $160 and they’re totally waterproof.

This was a huge plus for me because 1. My last pair of rain boots stopped fitting my legs so I had to get rid of them, and 2. My bow Uggs remain stained from the snow.
I found a pair of the Classic Clear Uggs in the Natural/Black combo for $85 and bought them. I thought they’d be perfect for travel, too — when I’m going somewhere cold (which I am, in December).

So, I got two pairs of Uggs for the price of one! Both arrived in a timely manner (which is Poshmark’s policy), and looked great!
If you’re new to Poshmark, you can use my code THEBITTERLEMON for $10 off 🙂
Happy thrifting!
