My Santa Fe Playlist is on Spotify!

Greetings from Santa Fe, New Mexico!

I’m at a ranch for a week-long screenwriting retreat — something I’ve been looking forward to for many months.

Anytime there’s a trip I’m looking forward to, I have to make a playlist, of course. So, I made one for Santa Fe!

Keep in mind that, before this trip, I’d never been to Santa Fe, and since I’m staying at a ranch, I assume I’m not getting the same experience as if I were staying in the city.

I’m not trying to make excuses for my playlist, I just don’t want anyone to come for me! 🙂

I started the Playlist by adding songs that mention Santa Fe, but then added songs I think I’d want to listen to during my travel and days on the ranch.

Here are some of the artists you’ll hear on the playlist:

Dave Barnes

If you follow me on Spotify, you’ll notice I’ve been listening to a lot of Dave Barnes lately. But, his song, “Sunset, Santa Fe” was one of the main reasons I wanted to make this playlist.

I also added some of his other songs, such as “Nothing Like You,” “The L.A. Song,” and “Carry on, San Vicente.”

Kacey Musgraves

I have been listening to Kacey Musgraves more and more, and I like what I hear. I added several of her songs to the playlist, including “High Horse,” “Dime Store Cowgirl,” and “Golden Hour.”

Maren Morris

I have to thank John Mayer for dropping Maren Morris onto my music radar, after he featured her on his song “Last Train Home.” She was also a guest on Andy Cohen’s radio show and he played several clips from her latest album, which I really enjoyed.

I added “The Feels,” “Detour,” and “Circles Around This Town” to the playlist. I love how she has a country sound and thoughtful lyrics, but the melody is often upbeat.

George Strait

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing George Strait in concert twice, and he’s a country legend. He has so many iconic songs, I couldn’t resist adding at least one to the playlist!

Miranda Lambert

I have been a Miranda Lambert fan for years, and while I love her older stuff, she has really been putting out some beautiful songs lately! I added “If I was a Cowboy,” “Tequila Does,” and “Tourist” to the playlist.

I love this song, too and, her husband is in the video!
