In February, I had my annual eye exam, and since I totally ran out of contacts, I’d been wearing my glasses daily.
I usually only wear my glasses at night, before bed, but since I was wearing them so much, I realized I needed a new pair. The last time I bought some was in 2020.
So, I took my new prescription and turned to the same place I always buy my glasses: EyeBuyDirect!
I’ve worn glasses for 20 years (!) and grew up used to seeing the high prices my parents paid at places like Lens Crafters… not anything I’m willing to pay.
I started shopping at EyeBuy once it was my turn to cover the costs and I have never been disappointed. But, this time, I was looking for a pair of glasses with adjustable nose pads (specific, I know), and you can actually filter the EyeBuy website to show only the kinds of glasses you want.
Even using a filter, it took me HOURS to narrow down the styles and prices. Many of the frames have the option for you to try them on virtually, but I still trust the photos and reviews from customers.
I also used my pair of blue light glasses (these are them, bought in 2021) to visually gauge the measurements of the frames I was interested in. I have a wider face, so I don’t want small glasses.
Because I have such a high prescription, the type of frames I can get is limited, but EyeBuy always still has lots of options to choose from.
I picked a frame called Jefferson, a thicker black frame with gold detailing. Aside from getting prescription lenses, I added blue light and UV protection.
There was a second frame I really, really loved called Margot, but they weren’t available to use with my prescription. I was so sad, but EyeBuy was running a buy one, get one 50% off sale, so I went ahead and ordered the Margo frames and got blue light protection on the lenses.
Do I NEED another pair of blue light glasses? Nah, not really, but the sale made them under $100 (including a cute gold chain I added to keep them around my neck) and I couldn’t resist. A happy compromise for my thick lenses – ha!
I got my glasses about a week later, and… these have to be my favorite pairs of EyeBuy glasses yet!
The black frames are bold, but they sit so nicely on my face — my old pair didn’t have nose grips and they sometimes slid down my face.
I also love the blue light glasses (and I could see why they weren’t an option for my thick lenses).
I shouldn’t be surprised how much I love these glasses, but I just continue to be amazed with the price and quickness of EyeBuy!
If you’re interested in trying EyeBuy, I have a $10 coupon toward your purchase. Check it out and let me know what you think!
