How are you?

Isn’t it nice to have someone ask? I feel like the weeks — and even months — are just flying by and I’m trying to hold on to whatever I can, especially as the holidays approach.

But, I am still over here listening to lots of ebooks since I haven’t had much time to sit down with a book. The latest ebook I listened to was “The Perfect Mother” by Aimee Molloy.

This book has been on my TBR list for a few months. It is a mysterious thriller that follows a group of women known as the May Mothers. They all gave birth in the same month, so they immediately have something to relate to.

One night, they decide to treat themselves to a night on the town. It’s July 4th and they decide to hit the bar. But when the night ends, one of their newborns has gone missing.

The police start asking questions, and an investigation is underway. As they all look for the missing baby, lots of other disturbing stories come to light.

Spoooooky, right? I honestly wasn’t sure I was going to feature this one because I didn’t love it, but I think someone else might like it more than I did. Probably if you’re a mom, you could relate to some of the angles of this “Mom group” that I couldn’t.

The mystery part kept me interested for the entire length of the book, and there were a few unexpected twists.

It’s not scary, but it’s a darker side of a whodunnit.
