My Latest Order From Lush!

Austin is back in a pandemic lockdown, which means I’m back to ordering anything and everything that’ll come right to my doorstep and bring me a bit of joy — anyone else?

I’ve been wanting to place an order with Lush for awhile, but I was trying to use up some of my beauty supplies before I ordered the next haul.

But the time came when I actually NEEDED a few of the items, so I got to clicking. I got a few of my favorite items plus some new-to-me items.

Here goes:

Magic Crystals Body Scrub

I really love the Ocean Salt Body Scrub, but I was drawn to this — I’ve never tried it and it had great reviews. This body scrub is made of Epsom and sea salts and has a scent combo of peppermint, spearmint, rosemary, and sage. Umm… yes!

I actually used this yesterday in the bath. I woke up so congested from allergies and pulled out all of my oils and vapor sticks and bath salts to help, and this stuff felt SO refreshing on my skin and I felt so much better after using it. Sold for life!

Sleepy Soap

The Sleepy line is my favorite thing at Lush. After all of the OTC sleep aids and oils and sprays… it’s kind of funny to think that a soap, a bath bomb, or a body lotion would actually help me relax and fall asleep but this stuff does the trick.

I have never tried the bar soap, though! In my last order, I got the Sleepy Shower Jelly and I used it, but didn’t really like the whole jelly thing? I don’t get it. This soap is oat-milk based (a majority of Lush products are vegan) and part of its Naked line, which means it has 0 packaging. These things are part of the reason I love shopping with Lush!

Twilight Bath Bomb

This is something I add to every order, as it’s the same scent as the products in the Sleepy line. It also is part of the Naked line, makes the bath water bright purple, and has plastic-free glitter that’s safe for the environment. A win all around!

Fresh Farmacy Facial Soap

This is a new-to-me product! I’ve tried a few of Lush’s solid face balms, which I really loved, so I scoured the facial soap section of the website to see what other goodies I could find. This had mixed reviews, but it has calamine powder, balancing lavender oil and cleansing tea tree oil all to help troubled skin.

I have been really trying to get rid of some acne and general irritation on my cheeks that developed during the pandemic, so I’m hoping this will help. It’s vegan and part of the Naked line 🙂

Ickle Baby Bot Bath Bomb

This is mostly for kids, but I try and buy ALL the items that say they’ll relax me — welcome to my life, full of stress and anxiety! This cute blue bot has lavender, chamomile and sandalwood… all of my favorite scents for chill time. I haven’t tried this one yet, but I am hoping it turns my bathwater bright blue.

Sleepy Body Lotion

THIS is a holy grail product for me! It’s the first product from the Sleepy line I bought (after being influenced by Jaclyn Hill) and have been hooked ever since. This is my fourth or so bucket of the stuff. Not only do I love the smell, but I love the texture of the lotion and the way it feels on my skin — not greasy, but locks in moisture. I do tend to use this more in the fall and winter, but I was almost out of my current one, and cannot go without!

Intergalactic Bath Bomb

I’m pretty sure this was under the “Mood boosting” section and well, I could always use a mood boost. I was drawn to the neon colors of this one, but it also has peppermint, vetivert, grapefruit, and cedarwood… umm, pretty much sounds amazing! It also has “popping candy” inside… should make for an interesting bath!

Grease Lightning Tea Tree and Aloe Gel

This is also a new-to-me product that I stumbled upon in the facial soap section. However, it took a lot of reading for me to understand that it actual IS a facial soap. It sounds silly, but so many of the reviews made it sound like people just put this on their face like they would a serum. Weird?

But then, even the “How to Use” section says, “Dab a small amount over troubled skin or on oily areas for a matte finish.” Uhh… I suppose I’ll make a decision once I start using it, but like I said, it is in the “facial soap” section. It’s another product for troubled skin, as it has tea tree, witch hazel, rosemary and fresh grape juice in it — all for calming and clearing up problem areas.

Twilight Bubble Bar

If you haven’t tried a Lush Bubble Bar yet… add it to your to-do list ASAP. It’s like a bath bomb in texture, but instead of dropping it into your bathwater, you can break off a piece and run it under the faucet and WOW, loads of bubbles and scents! This is, yep, another Sleepy / Twilight scent with tonka, ylang ylang, and lavender. Each bar is good for 1-3 baths, depending on how big the bar is and how much you like bubbles 🙂

Pink Peppermint Foot Lotion

Every order gets a free sample, and this is what I chose for mine. I mostly use foot lotion when traveling or if I’m giving myself a pedicure, but I’m always looking for the best one. This one has great reviews and leaves feet feeling cool and minty, which I’m always a fan of!
