Wow, yesterday brought on the Sunday scaries like no other.
I have really been struggling with work this entire month. I don’t have the energy for that pre-pandemic hustle like I did, and the amount of work that’s piled on me is weighing on me. I have to actively work on not stressing myself out or else I’ll end up in a panic attack.
So, today I’m going back to a more strict schedule as far as when I work on what, even down to when I journal and eat. It sounds ridiculous, but it’s what works for me right now.
I knew today was going to come so I spent this weekend NOT checking email and simply relaxing. I went to the pool, I read a book, I did my nails, had some cocktails… took a couple naps 🙂
And I tried the Supergoop Healthy Glow Sunless Tan SPF 40.
I bought this a month ago or so, but was waiting for the right time to give it a try. This is a spray lotion that has the consistency of a very thin sunscreen (thin enough to spray on).
Because it is a sunless tanner, I put it on at home so I could use my mirror and a sunless tanning mitt to put it on, just as I would with any other sunless tanner.
It goes on clear, so you can’t really tell where you’ve put it, but this is a buildable tanner, so it really doesn’t develop to be very dark. The direction say you can just spray it on, but I was too nervous!
I put it on, waited until I was completely dry, and then I put on my swimsuit and went to the pool.
I think this is more for people who wear an SPF on their body every day. Or, if you’re going to spend a day outside but not necessarily be sweaty and mess up the sunless tan.
I do like that it doesn’t have that sunless tan smell, it’s easy to apply, and because it’s buildable, it’s okay if it doesn’t look perfect the first time.
Honestly, using this SPF was the first time I haven’t burned at the pool!
So, I wouldn’t buy this for the sunless tanning aspect, but I would buy it if you put SPF on your body regularly (I’m sorry, I don’t!) and would like a wash of color.
