We made it to Friday! It’s been my busiest week since mid-February, work-wise. I’ve had a full week now at my part-time job and also had some other projects on my plate.
It looks like I’ll need to spend some time this weekend catching up on my script (it’s “due” in a week!) and a client project, but I am happy to be back on the grind.
Which brings me to the product I’m talking about today: Lancome’s Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover… because I’ve worn more makeup this week than I have all year.
My part-time job requires attendance to client-facing meetings and I know makeup isn’t required, but it makes me feel more put together.
It’s also nice to pull out my makeup bag and actually use the products — I have such a huge stash and it needs to be used!
At the end of the day, that means I have to properly take it all off. I don’t know about you, but I absolutely have to get all of my eye makeup off.
I used to be able to get by with just using a regular face wash and splashing water on my face and being all, “Oh it’s okay if I didn’t get everything off.”
Not anymore! I suffer from pretty bad allergies and even when I’m taking meds and using multiple air purifiers, if I leave any eye makeup on, I wakeup the next day with my eyes glued shut.
The other part of this issue is, not just any eye makeup remover is going to work.
Because I glop on the eyelash primer and the mascara. Several coats.
So, I was really excited to try the Lancome Eye Makeup Remover because I know lots of people love it.
Well, I loved it, too.
Here’s the thing: it’s made to remove stubborn eye makeup, which is a huge win for me. The other thing I love is that it’s not oily. I’ve tried several other eye makeup removers that are oily and even leave my skin feeling greasy.
The instructions for this product say to use it first before face wash, but I like to do my double cleanse and then follow it all up with this to make sure I removed last bit of makeup.
I know the few Lancome products I’ve tried have been on the higher-end, price-wise, but it’s always been worth it. And with a product like this, you really don’t need to use much for it to work.
I am trying to reduce my use of disposable products, including cotton balls, so for this I use it with a Face Halo round.
I would definitely recommend this product, especially if you have sensitive skin or suffer from allergy-related eye issues.
What eye makeup remover have you tried? Any great ones out there?
