A Review: Ahava Mineral Mud Facial Treatment Masks.

I hope you are having a great weekend wherever you are! After a week of very intense job hunting and general anxiety, I vowed to give myself the weekend off from searching for gigs.

I spent yesterday doing lots of self-care — I took a yoga class, had a bubble bath, and gave myself a facial — and ended the day by having wine with a close friend via FaceTime. It was all so nice 🙂

Once I publish this, I plan on tucking myself into bed with a book. It’s what Sundays were made for, right?

Anyway, it’s finally time for me to share some of my favorite products from Ahava! If you’ve been reading all of my reviews, you’ll notice a trend with Ahava: all of their stuff is amazing.

But a few months ago, I got an Ahava mask sampler from Ulta. It had 7 different masks in it, and although I liked all of them, my top two were the Clearing Facial Treatment Mask and the Brightening & Hydrating Facial Treatment Mask.

Ahava Mineral Mud Clearing Facial Treatment Mask

I should note that mud masks in general are my favorite type of mask. I’m always looking for ones that are going to treat my skin but not dry on my face and make it impossible to move or feel itchy. Neither of these Ahava masks did that!

The Clearing Facial Treatment Mask was meant to really clean the pores and, although I don’t get breakouts often, it’s always good to have something like this on-hand for when they do pop-up.

What I like about both of these masks is the consistency of the mud — it’s thick but not drying — and with this one, my skin felt clean when I rinsed it off, but not tight or dry. It felt nourished 🙂

If you have oily skin and/or are prone to breakouts, this could be your next favorite product. I love that it helps irritated skin and, just like all Ahava products, it’s vegan, hypoallergenic, and paraben-free.

Ahava Mineral Mud Brightening & Hydrating Facial Treatment Mask

I have really come to love hydrating masks. I feel like my skin can never be TOO hydrated, and treatments such as this one come in handy after an at-home facial (I like to really nourish my skin after I steam it or use my microdermabrasion tool), while traveling, or during the cooler months.

This mask is awesome! I love the green color of the mud (not important, I know) and how soft my skin felt after just one use.

The mask has Niacinamide and Natriance Brightener that help balance the skin, reduce redness, and give it a healthy glow.

I’m sold on both of these and will definitely be purchasing the full-size jars 🙂

Right now, Ahava is having a 25% off site-wide sale until April 25!

Have you tried any Ahava products? What are your favorites?
