Raise your hand if you’ve had to keep reminding yourself what day it is? Yesterday (Friday), I think I told myself 6 times that it was indeed NOT Sunday.
How awesome that we get some extra days! Granted, I am still over here catching up on client work and typing away at my #NaNoWriMo book, but still, the vibe is different.
Anyway, I’m excited to share my latest beauty product review with you: Tree Hut’s Candy Cane Shea Sugar Scrub!
Okay, there’s a few things to this. Admittedly, I tossed this into my virtual cart at Ulta because I was trying to get to a certain price to use a discount (story of my life).
I have been trying to not buy as much makeup this year (since I haven’t been wearing it), and instead I’ve been buying things I AM using, like bubble bath, face wash, etc.
So, when I was looking for items to fill my cart, I realized I was out of body scrub. I searched it on the site and Tree Hut’s WIDE collection of scents came up.
I’ve never tried anything from Tree Hut, but I saw the Candy Cane scrub and figured that would be really nice. I love a minty scrub.
So, I get it, and I try it… AND IT IS AMAZING. Why have I been totally sleeping on Tree Hut’s scrubs?
I think it’s the combination of it being a sugar scrub with shea butter, because not only does it exfoliate, but my skin feels so soft and not dry afterward. Plus, it smells amazing.
I have already tried to buy another jar of it just to stock up and it’s sold out at Ulta — so I bought a CBD peppermint bath bomb instead (I’ll report back). It really is that amazing!
I’ve been using it nearly every day and I just love it. I use it all over, not just on heels and elbows. I also want to note that it’s a pretty big jar — 18 oz — and it’s $9. I mean… you can’t beat it.
This entire experience also made me realize that I hardly ever by myself seasonal body products. I think one year I bought myself some peppermint bubble bath, but it’s honestly a small little luxury!
I’m not one to encourage buying things; I know everyone has their own method of spending money, but if it’s in the cards, I want to recommend treating yourself to a seasonal body item. Maybe it’s body wash or lotion, but I do think it’s a nice treat. Especially in these times — we need a seasonal self-care treat.
Now I know I need to try some of Tree Hut’s other scrubs. If you’ve tried them, which one should I go for? They have some tropical ones that sound good, but I’m open to recs!
