Latest Quarantine purchase: Magic Spoon Cereal.

I wasn’t kidding when I said awhile back that I’ve been having all sorts of new things delivered to my apartment. I mean, it’s safer to stay home and I need things, so… aside from vitamins, CBD beverages, wine, and meal delivery kits, I also ordered a sample pack of Magic Spoon cereal.

Magic Spoon is basically all of the cereal you ate and loved as a kid, but it’s now healthier and actually has protein in it! I saw this and knew I had to try it.

The Variety Box has 4 boxes — each one is a different flavor. Here’s the scoop:

Try them all—fruity, frosted, cocoa, and blueberry. We’ve reimagined all your favorite childhood cereals with only 3g net carbs, 11g complete protein, 110 calories, and nothing artificial.

I mean… So I got this. The box is $39, so about $10 per box, which is of course, more than the sugary stuff, but I’m okay with this.

When I got the box, my initial thought was that each cereal box seemed kind of small. There are 7 servings in each box, so it is smaller than, let’s say a box of Kashi cereal, which can have as many as 11 servings in a single box.

I’ve now tried all of the flavors in the box, and they are all pretty good. My favorites were the fruity and the blueberry, which shocked me because I normally don’t like berry-flavored things.

The frosted flavor tasted a little bit like a protein shake to me if that makes any sense… like fake sweet.

Did I like these? Yes. Did I love them? No.

I am, however, keeping my eye on the Magic Spoon website because they are always releasing new or seasonal flavors. The summer flavors were peaches n’ cream and strawberry. They also released a peanut butter box and a honey nut… both are sold out!

The cinnamon flavor has great reviews, but right now you have to buy it in a case of four boxes. I have seen that in the past, Magic Spoon made a fall flavor that was Pumpkin chai… ummm yes. So, maybe the cinnamon would be in the fall case of flavors. I’ll be on the lookout.

I am glad I found this product, even though I didn’t LOVE it. As a vegan, breakfast is the most difficult meal to figure out, especially when it comes to protein. This is also nice right now because I can have it delivered, and all it needs is milk, which I can also have delivered since I get the plant-based pantry boxes 🙂

This could be an option for hurricane season or anytime you’re packing your pantry.

Have you tried Magic Spoon? If so, what did you think?
