Just kidding. I mean not really — I really do want the facial steamer, but that’s just one item on my list. I know Christmas is not about the gifts, but I’ve made a lift every year for as long as I can remember… so here’s what I’m asking Santa for this year.
A crystal facial roller. I’ve heard about all of the benefits from these various rollers — crystal, quartz, jade, etc. — and I’m not sure if one is better than another, but I know they are said to help reduce puffiness, encourage lymphatic drainage, even skin tone and tighten the skin. Here for it!
Dilbert books. My dad loved Dilbert, but I was too young to get most of the jokes I think. When I was in elementary school, my dad would walk me to school and some mornings we would stop at a convenient store called The Cow Palace and eat breakfast and get a newspaper. We always read the comics. Once I went to college, my dad would sometimes send me clipped comic strips in the mail, many of which I have saved. But, I’d like to read the comics now that I’d probably understand them better!
Kat Von D’s Shade N Light Contour palette. As a beauty YouTube junkie, I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this face contour palette! They have had the cream version at TJ Maxx a few times, but I always look to see if they have the powder version… I have a feeling it would get snatched up pretty quick if it were there. Also, this palette is refillable so it’s not a waste of plastic, and if you hit pan on your favorite shades, you don’t have to buy a completely new palette.
A facial steamer. My bathroom is packed with all of the masks, serums, creams and scrubs, but it’s time I take my at-home facials to the next level with a steamer! I don’t know much about them, but I can imagine they are particularly helpful after travel and in the wintertime, when the skin is often dry. Plus, I am always looking for an excuse to have a few moments of stillness to myself.
Reusable ziplock bags. It is one of my 2020 goals to be more eco-friendly. I don’t use ziplock bags as much as I did when I was commuting to work and packing a lunch, but I do use them enough that I know I can eliminate them from my life! I didn’t know these existed until I saw them on Instagram and immediately wanted some.
I also asked for any book about LeBron James, a new planner for 2020 and renewal for my Birchbox subscription. What did you ask for this year?
