Dear Santa…

I cannot be the only 33-year-old out there that still has a Christmas list, right? Well, even if I am, the trusty Christmas list is the ONLY way to ensure there’s some great goodies under the tree on December 25th.I’m sorry, but even after all of these years, there’s no way Santa can know what I truly want – heck, sometimes I don’t even know!

So, I’m sharing my Christmas list with you this year – maybe you’ll get some ideas for your own list! #TreatYoself

“Cravings: Hungry for More” by Chrissy Teigen

I got Chrissy Teigen’s first cookbook, “Cravings” for Christmas two years ago, and I cannot tell you how many times I’ve made her coconut rice!

Every recipe I’ve made from that book has been easy, yet impressive, so I am excited to see what she’s got in store in her second book. From the preview they offer on Amazon, it appears there’s some plant-based recipes including banana bread and a carrot and avocado salad – yum!

Did anyone watch her and John Legend’s Christmas variety show a few weeks ago?! It was cute!

Lash Serum

As a full-time beauty project junkie, I am constantly looking for new products to try. While I’ve been seeing all sorts of lash serums over the last year, I haven’t looked into the best ones. I am lucky to have pretty full, long lashes already, but you can never have lashes that are too long or too full, so lash serum, here I come!

When I looked on Amazon, Hairgenics Lavish Lash is the top-rated product, and it says it works on eyelashes and brows.

Smith & Cult nail laquer in “Forever Fades Fast”

I got a mani/pedi awhile ago – it was at the beginning of fall (please don’t judge me) and I saw this beautiful nail polish… but it was more of a summery color and I also wasn’t sure how well it would show up on my non-bronzed toes.

Since I don’t treat myself to professional manis/pedis often, I take my color choice VERY seriously when I do treat myself. So, I picked a different color, but I wrote this one down in my phone for future reference.

Birchbox subscription renewal

I’ve been subscribing to Birchbox for at least four or five years – it has always been gifted to me at the holidays. It’s the best gift because it truly is the gift that keeps on giving (and it’s much better than the Jelly of the Month Club)!

Subscribers get a box of five samples each month that are fit to a beauty profile you get to create. You can change your profile at any time, plus you can often choose between specific items or pick a curated box, depending on the month.

If you like something in your box, you get free shipping on the full-size product (and sometimes an additional discount), and you earn points which equal CASH on Birchbox.com. I have found some of my favorite beauty products this way!

“True Roots” by Kristin Cavallari

Are you noticing a trend? I don’t think I’ve ever bought a cookbook for myself. I feel like they are a total treat since there’s so many recipes available for free online, but I do loving getting them.

I’ve been eyeing this one for awhile – I love watching Kristin Cavallari’s Instagram Stories when she cooks. She has been known to whip up chicken wings for her family on football game days, and often makes Dutch-baby pancakes for her children. All of the recipes in this book are dairy-free, which makes my vegan heart so happy!

Queen’s Greatest Hits on vinyl

I asked for this last Christmas, but I also asked for Fleetwood Mac’s Greatest Hits, and Santa went with that – which is phenomenal. But joke’s on Santa, because I’ll just ask for it until I get it!

This two-record set features their most-popular songs including “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Somebody to Love”, “Another One Bites the Dust”, and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”, among many others.

Pitcher with lid

For as much as I like to cook, I have always lived in apartments with rather small kitchens, and because of that, I don’t have much “equipment” for cooking. The things I do have are well-loved, to put it nicely!

Earlier this year, I discovered Trader Joe’s Cold Brew bags – that make pitchers of cold brew just by soaking a bag in a pitcher of water in the fridge overnight. Sounds easy enough, but I don’t even have a pitcher! So, I’ve been soaking my coffee bags in a glass bowl – ha! It works, but it would be nice to have a pitcher with a lid for making cold brew and sun tea.

“The Good Neighbor” by Maxwell King

I grew up watching “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood” and this is the first full- length biography of Fred Rogers. I was much too young to understand all of the larger statements he was trying to make, but am excited to find out about them now!

My local library doesn’t have a copy, so I’m asking Santa to come through!

And there you have it – my 2018 Christmas list! What kinds of things are you all asking for this year?

So, I know the holiday season is less about getting and more about giving, so I wanted to do a small giveaway! Here’s the scoop: subscribe to my blog (by clicking “subscribe” to the right –> ) and fill out the form below telling me you’ve subscribed and I will enter you in a drawing to win dozens of Christmas cookies baked by yours truly.

If you’ve already subscribed to the blog, you can still enter – just fill out this form and let me know you’ve already subscribed! I’ll pick a winner on Friday night, and I’ll get to baking this weekend.

Happy entering!
