A Review: Snif Laundry Detergent.

I’ll admit it: I’ve never thought of laundry as something fun. Necessary, yes — but exciting? Not exactly. Then I spotted Snif’s Everything Wash detergents and scent boosters at Ulta and thought… why not?

I love scent in every other part of my life — from perfume to candles to skincare — so why not bring that same little luxury into my laundry routine?

Plus, I had some Ulta rewards points and a coupon to use, which made it feel like the perfect time to treat myself to something new.

Trying Snif’s “Rain Check”

The first scent I tried was Rain Check, which might be the most perfect name ever. It’s fresh and clean, like stepping outside after a storm — soft, crisp, and calm all at once.

The brand describes it with notes of bergamot, geranium, pink pepper, moss, orcanox, and vetiver, and while I can’t claim to recognize all of those, I can tell you it smells really good.

I bought both the Everything Wash detergent and the Rain Check scent booster, and I’ve mostly used them for my clothes and bedding.

The scent is noticeable but not overpowering — it lingers just enough that I still catch it when I crawl into bed at night.

I’ve also been impressed by how well the detergent actually cleans. My clothes feel soft and fresh, and I appreciate knowing the formula is non-toxic, cruelty-free, and free from synthetic dyes.

It’s pricier than your average detergent, sure, but a little goes a long way, and I like that it’s made with care.

Saving “Sweet Ash” for Cozy Season

I also picked up Sweet Ash, another Snif favorite. This one smells warmer — a little woodsy, a little sweet — with notes of juniper, fir balsam, white moss, golden cedar, vanilla bean, and creamy tonka.

It’s the kind of scent that makes sense in fall and winter, when you want everything to feel cozy and calm.

I haven’t used this one as much yet, but I plan to make the switch soon. I can already tell it’ll be perfect for sweaters, flannel sheets, and cold Sunday mornings.

Are the Scent Boosters Worth It?

When I was researching before buying, I noticed mixed reviews on the scent boosters — some people said they didn’t make much of a difference.

Personally, I like them! I’ve been using the boosters with the detergents, and I think they help the scent last longer. You could also add the scent booster to fragrance-free detergent!

The bottle lasts for about 25 loads, and I don’t use a ton each time, so I think it’s worth it if you’re someone who enjoys that just-washed smell sticking around.

Final Thoughts

Honestly, Snif has made laundry something I actually look forward to. It’s such a small thing, but it feels special — like adding perfume to your clothes before you even wear them.

If you’re curious but don’t want to overhaul your whole laundry setup, you could always choose one scent just for your bedding or towels.

I’ve loved using Rain Check for that — it’s such a treat to crawl into fresh sheets that smell this good at the end of the day.

Ulta carries a few of the Snif detergents (including Old Money), but the brand’s own website has even more options — including some seasonal scents.

I’ve already got my eye on Old Saint Wick, their winter version that sounds like everything I want for the colder months.

Because who says chores can’t smell amazing?
