I’m always on the hunt for a good lip product, and this one feels like a gem worth sharing.
Several months ago, while I was working at Ulta, I got a sample of the Too Faced Pillow Balm Hydrating Lip Treatment.
From the first swipe, I loved it — soft, glossy, and hydrating without the stickiness. So when my Ulta birthday coupon ($10 off anything!) arrived, I knew exactly what I was spending it on.
I planned to grab one tube (in Banana Kiss), but I spotted Ice Crystal too — and I couldn’t resist.
The Banana Kiss shade looks pale yellow in the tube but goes on as a glossy, hydrating finish with no real color on the lips.
Ice Crystal is light blue (I’ve heard this shade makes teeth look whiter) with an iridescent shimmer, and while I love a glittery lip, I can’t stand when glosses feel chunky. This one nails it — hydrating, smooth, and just the right amount of sparkle.
I ended up loving them both so much that when they went on sale, I treated myself to two more: another Ice Crystal (because backups are essential when you find a fave) and the Original shade, which looks pale pink in the tube but gives lips a healthy, natural-looking glossy finish.
What I love most is the versatility — this balm is the perfect throw-in-your-purse gloss for a night out, but it’s also nourishing enough to keep by your bedside as an overnight lip treatment.

My Verdict
I hope Too Faced never changes this formula, because it’s easily one of my favorite lip products in recent memory.
It’s glossy without being sticky, hydrating without feeling heavy, and fun without being impractical. Whether I’m running errands, heading out for dinner, or winding down for bed, this is the product I reach for.
If you’re looking for something that combines the comfort of a balm with the shine of a gloss, the Too Faced Pillow Balm is absolutely worth a try.
