I had my six-month teeth cleaning in July, and every time I go, I’m grateful to take good care of my teeth. I was not gifted with strong teeth, and I have had all sorts of issues over the years thanks to a combination of my genetics and my lack of understanding of exactly how to care for them.
After having extensive dental work done after college (with no insurance), I vowed to do everything I could to care for my teeth. This has meant keeping up with my oral care routine, maintaining a healthy diet, and researching my products.
…Which brings me to Made By Dentists!
I’ve been using Made by Dentists products for a while now. After reviewing their Sonic Toothbrush late last year, I couldn’t resist trying out their toothpastes, especially since they’re all about bringing professional oral care to our homes at reasonable prices.
Oh, and did I mention this brand was founded by two female dentists? That’s just the icing on the cake for me!
I’ve been using three of their toothpastes, and while each had its strengths, I genuinely liked them all for different reasons. Here’s what I thought:
Enamel Rebuilding Professional Toothpaste
This toothpaste is all about replenishing and remineralizing lost enamel and delivers in spades. It contains sodium fluoride, potassium nitrate, and nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HA), critical to rebuilding enamel from within.
Since enamel is 97% hydroxyapatite, the n-HA used in this toothpaste helps strengthen your teeth by penetrating deep and restoring what’s lost after eating or drinking.
After a few weeks of use, I’ve noticed a big difference in how smooth and strong my teeth feel. Plus, it’s ADA-approved, vegan-friendly, and comes in 100% recyclable packaging—which I love because it’s great to see a brand care about sustainability. If you’re looking for a toothpaste that focuses on long-term enamel health, this one’s definitely worth trying.
Sensitive + Whitening Professional Toothpaste
I’ve always hesitated about using whitening products because they can trigger sensitivity, but this toothpaste is different.
Formulated with potassium nitrate to soothe sensitive teeth and a whitening agent, it whitens without causing any discomfort. Potassium nitrate blocks the dentine’s little tubes (or tubules), preventing sensitivity triggers.
The whitening effect is gradual but noticeable, and it’s great to know I’m not compromising my comfort for brighter teeth. Like the others, it’s ADA-approved, vegan-friendly, and uses 100% recyclable packaging. Just a tip: after brushing, don’t rinse—spit out the excess paste, but leave the ingredients on your teeth so they can work their magic!
Ultra Whitening Professional Toothpaste
If you’re looking for maximum whitening, this one’s for you. It uses sodium fluoride and hydrogen peroxide—a proven combo for safe, effective whitening. Hydrogen peroxide works by breaking down surface stains and brightening teeth from within. After about a week of consistent use, I noticed a real difference in how white my teeth looked.
In addition, it helps strengthen and protect against cavities, which means I don’t have to worry about my enamel suffering while I get my smile looking bright. Like the others, it’s ADA-approved, cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, and comes in recyclable packaging.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Made by Dentists continues to impress me. Each of these toothpastes serves a unique purpose, and I can honestly say I liked them all for different reasons. If you’re looking for something to strengthen enamel, the Enamel Rebuilding Toothpaste is your best bet. If you struggle with sensitivity but still want a brighter smile, the Sensitive + Whitening formula is a lifesaver. And if you’re just focused on getting the whitest smile possible, the Ultra Whitening Toothpaste won’t disappoint.
I also really appreciate the brand’s commitment to creating products that are vegan, cruelty-free, and sustainably packaged. They’re also American Dental Association-approved, so I know I’m using something that’s both safe and effective.
What I love most about Made by Dentists is how they manage to deliver high-quality, professional-grade oral care at an affordable price point. Aside from using their Sonic Toothbrush, I’ve also used their bamboo toothbrushes and was happy with the results.
If you’re looking for new toothpaste to add to your routine, try Made by Dentists—I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! Have you tried any Made by Dentists products?
