I recently got my 7th pair of Rothy’s — can you tell how much I love these shoes?!
The most recent style I got is The Square Mary Jane.
When ballet-core was trending, Rothy’s released a few styles to fit the look.
I have always wanted a shoe that looked like a ballet shoe, and these came in all sorts of colors. Plus, I knew they’d be comfortable since they’re Rothy’s.
The toe is more square, and it does have a thin strap across the foot, which adds to the ballet theme.
The shoe comes in a range of colors, and I originally wanted the “Bubbly Pink” to make it look even more like a ballet slipper.
But, I wasn’t sure it would fit in with my clothes’ palette. I really thought hard on this; I always want to pick something that I can wear a lot.
As a result, I was drawn to the “Lollipop Red.” I thought it would be perfect for summer, fall, and even winter! I went so far as to imagine myself wearing my fabulous red flats in all situations 🙂
Per the reviews, I ordered my usual size (as opposed to ordering 1/2 size up for the pointed styles).
The fit is great — the toe box is not too narrow.
They are just as comfortable as my other Rothy’s styles, but I’d keep one thing in mind if you’re considering buying them: The toe fabric is stiffer than other styles I’ve tried, and it does press a bit on my big toe.
This could very well just be a me problem (my feet are uniquely shaped), but if you’ve run into a similar issue before, it’s worth considering.
I’ve worn these running errands and to a party that was mostly standing for hours and they were comfortable in the sole.
I honestly love wearing Rothy’s for travel because I can just toss them in the wash when I get home. These are so versatile, which is an added travel bonus.
I wore them with skinny jeans, but they would be cute with boyfriend jeans or any kind of skirt.
I know these won’t be my last pair of Rothy’s.

Overall review: I think Rothy’s is a great brand with classic styles. The price point is a little shocking at first, but given the quality and comfort of the shoes, it’s definitely worth it!
